As far as beer stores go this one is just average compared to some other LCBO locations. Staff here are great though and very helpful. It would be nice to see more mico beers in stock though. This beer store is close to Cityplace but I have actually found that that the LCBO store actually has a better selection of beers if you are ok with singles and six packs…

There aren’t many beer stores close to me in the downtown core, and since beer can’t be sold anywhere else besides a Beer Store or LCBO, I don’t have much choice if I want to grab a two four. This one has a decent enough selection, a walk in cooler, and parking. So, it does the job.

The store is a bit better than the other Beer Stores which by no means is saying a lot. Usually there are huge lineups for returns on Mondays so that is not a recommended day to recycle empties. Selection is available for browsing as they have the walk in cooler as well as the display area. Reasonable selection of single beers are available for sale at this spot so its a good way to try out stuff before getting a 6 pack. Now the bad part is they don’t carry much selection from Unibrue(only blanche de chambly) and since LCBO has discontinued it as well this was the closest place I thought I could procure other gems like La Fin Du Monde and Maudite. Big mistake the Manager would not order it for me. I even offered to buy a whole case but he wouldn’t budge. Needless to say I am not pleased. I thought one could order stuff if other stores carry it. 2.5 Star which is better than the other beer stores get so you are better off getting stuff from LCBO.

This is a rather out of the way Beer Store. Many restaurateurs flock here to do their returns so you might have to queue up for a while. The selection is decent and it’s a «walk-in» style so you can actually browse! Rather than standing, staring blankly at the clerk deciding on what to order. The location is small and frequented by a large number of homeless so your brand selection is a bit stilted towards the«high-octane» variety of crappy canned beer. But they do have some local flavour as well from some both large and small microbreweries. Only a few parking spots, but it’s well hidden and off the beaten track.
