Not bad… I like that they have some savoury items available on their menu like noodles and rice dishes. Compared to Cha Time, the tea wasn’t as good and the ambience is unwelcoming. They have some board games on a shelf but it’s a small collection; good if you’re bored of conversations.

Great bubble tea! The lychee jelly with a warm milk tea is the most satisfying drink to have in the cold weather. They also have a variety of snacks as well. It’s a great place to bring your friends.

Their bubble teas are decent. This place is open late and that’s why we stopped by here for take out. I had the original milk black tea, which was okay. My friend had the oolong milk black tea, which was better. There were people playing games in the back. I might come back here if I needed a place to chill late at night in the area.

Bleeeehh, this place should not be allowed to call itself a tea shop! I ordered what I considered a «safe» drink, a drink which would be hard to mess up. Unfortunately, the passionfruit black tea with boba was lacking in both tea and passionfruit flavor as well. It was like watery flavoring with sugar syrup. The texture of the boba balls was ok, not too hard, and chewy, but lacking any flavor(wasn’t soaked in any syrup).

Expensive and bubble tea isn’t spectacular. They treat their customers terribly by yelling at them and by making dining-in customers wait. Go over to Bubble tease down the street if you want the good stuff.

My large milk tea with tapioca came out to $ 5.92…how did it become more expensive than Chatime?! The milk tea is mediocre. Weak tea taste and the added sugar tries to compensate for that. Pearls are hard and not that chewy. Wasn’t busy when I went in. The place has super dim lighting for people who go dine in. They serve drinks in neat Mason jars with handles if you opt to sit down and drink there. Good in terms of its location, but the bubbletea, it’s okay. Just went there for a quick fix.

Meh. Very, very mediocre tea. Not much flavor and overly sweet with syrup(even when I asked for no sugar). Service was slow, but at least there was free wifi.

This is probably the bubble tea place that first started my addiction. Had to have been at least 5+ years ago? The bubble tea here is always consistant. The tapioca is cooked to perfection. I usually order a milk tea or a taro smoothie. Double tapioca always. Never sat in and tried the food itself, but I am always drawn to the toonie machines that sometimes have hello kitty stuff.

I love bubble tea and I have tried in so many stores .This time I had the worst experience. I am never going to this place again I went to this place with my friends. We all got our bubble teas with regular price and one of my friend she got their special bubble tea .The cashier came and told us that my friend cant sit here because she got the special bubble tea. All of us we spend around 20 $ for bubble tea and she is kicking my friend out because she paid less then us. I have never seen something like this. The restaurant was completely empty with 4 customers .Worst customer service .3 people from that store came to tell my friend to leave .she gave us a receipt to pay 2.40 $ because my friend is sitting in the store .She wanted her to pay because she is sitting with was so ridiculous. The cashier was yelling at us .The bubble tea wasn’t that great on top of that .I work in a restaurant too and I haven’t seen this type or service in my life.

Terrible bubble tea, powdery and way too sweet even when I asked for way less sweet. I couldn’t finish it, threw it away after drinking less than half of it even though it was over $ 5

Ordered 5 bubble tea and they were average. Issue was that my 9 year old placed $ 2 into the small machines that dispense key chains and similar small toy objects. The machine jammed and owner did nothing about it. Citing that nothing could be done. He proceeded to continue preparing drinks — no sign or such warning others of faulty machines. $ 2 + $ 3 tip lost in addition to the cost of drinks.

I was walking by and decided to get a boba drink. I wanted something light and fruity. I normally get teas or smoothies but really just wanted a light slush. I looked at their menu and was confused. They had honeydew as an option under the slush but when I ordered it — they told me it was not made available in a slush form. Confusing but I ended up going with a cantaloupe slush with tapioca. It was good. I thought it wasn’t too sweet and pretty light. The boba was good and a bit chewy but that’s exactly how I like it. The drink was about $ 4 something — not bad. Pretty standard I think. The service was okay. They weren’t the friendliest by all means.

Came here post Karaōke UYE because it was Friday night + I wasn’t allowed to drink + this was right across the street. I’ve had bubble tea from this chain many many times, and the desert toast, but I did the combo for the first time that day. I had the black pepper beef combo with fried rice + spring roll. Everyone had other stuff. Didn’t really look that much. It’s basic asian fare, nothing special, dirt cheap. Open till like 3am. The décor was cute. I guess Melissa F really liked it. ;) I would come here again, if I was under age and had no where else to go. They let you play cards here, and there’s board games available. Asian snakes and… bubble tea?

Tea Shop 168 is a chain of bubble tea restaurants in and around Toronto. The food, drink and service at this location are par for the course for the Tea Shop 168 chain. I will never get a meal or drink«for here» at this location, as the service is extremely bad. Several times after I’ve been ushered to sit down, the waitress will take orders from people coming in to get drinks to go, and only when there is no line will she come with a menu. I have had to wait 15 minutes for a menu(see Patrick M.‘s review!). One time I walked out. The head chef seems to have a chronic lung condition, because every single time I have eaten in I could hear him hacking and coughing things up. The day I saw him come out of the washroom with not enough time to wash his hands, I decided to never get food here again. If this doesn’t bother you and you do choose to get food here, I recommend the $ 4.99 lunch specials. You get what you pay for in terms of quality, but they’re large portions. The bubble tea is just okay. Usually they get the sweetness level spot-on, and the tapioca is generally firm but chewy, the perfect consistency. It is a little too expensive for what you get. All of the above being said, I often go to this place as it is close to my work. I get my usual(a large honey black tea with tapioca to go), get my card stamped(ask for one if you go semi-regularly), then get the heck out of there.

Awesome place to chill and relax. My friends and I were craving bubble tea, since there aren’t any good authentic place in the area we go to school. This definitely took care of our cravings. We had our drinks there. Service was okay. It’s a bubble tea place, so I don’t expect outstanding service. However the lady that served us was very nice. Drinks came in these huge Ikea mugs. It was delicious. I ordered the original milk tea(green tea) with tapioca. Mmmm mmm mmm, tasted just like good bubble tea. Tapioca was good: DD I would go back. I might try the snacks next time.

I haven’t ever ate /had my drink in so I can only comment on the to-go aspect. While the flavour isn’t as good as Chatime or Ten Ren I think the original black milk tea with tapioca is pretty good considering its price. The tapioca has been perfect both times I’ve stopped by and the milk tea flavour is consistent.

«Annoyed». I never, ever want to feel annoyed when ordering. Tea Shop 168 annoyed the hell out of me. First they rushed me – I get it, I am not intimately familiar with your drink menu(or bubble tea in general), and that you’re eager to serve… wait. There’s nobody else there except my friend and me. Why are you rushing me??? Then, when my pal Cassi decides«hey, let’s sit down rather than take it to go», the girl tells me to go sit down to order. I’m confused — Cassi ordered at the counter, why can’t I? Anyway, I obey(like a fool). As we’re sitting, two groups of people come in. There are two people working. They spend the next fifteen minutes taking orders from these new customers rather than taking my order. I was ready. I wanted a tea. WTF. Anyway, when I finally got to place an order, another group came in. They ordered, they got their drinks. Then I finally received mine. Cassi was finished hers, we’d nearly finished our game of chess, and 30 minutes had passed. So. Annoyed. Very annoyed. Tea was fine, nothing special, and definitely not worth $ 6. It’s just cheap black tea with cheap(synthetic?) flavouring, jelly, and a crapload of ice. Kind of like paying $ 6 for a coke at the movie theatre, but without the movie. Oh well, at least they had a chess board to give us something to do while we waited. Can’t say I’ll be back.

It’s conveniently located so that the Ryerson students and drop by and hang out between classes. The tea here is pretty standard. The atmosphere is spacious and clean. Definitely a good place to drop by after shopping at the Eaton Centre as well.
