Ryan L.

Business Owner

Ryan graduated from the University of Toronto Physical Therapy program in 2005. He is dedicated to being a life long learner and is continuing to improve his skills as a physiotherapist. In 2012, Ryan completed his Diploma of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and has joined an elite group of physiotherapists that is committed to providing quality patient care. He is also certified in acupuncture with Acupuncture Canada (CAFCI), and has furthered his skill set by studying intramuscular stimulation (IMS) with The Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (iSTOP). He also has training in Kinesiotaping, soft tissue release and vestibular rehabilitation.

I have been going to Symmetry and I have been seeing Joanna for Physio and Acupuncture! She spends so much time with me and her treatments are amazing! She is also giving me exercises to do at home which helps as well! I would highly recommend Symmetry. Thank you Niki:-)

Personally dealing with Ryan is an absolute pleasure.
He is very patient and really takes the time to pinpoint the root cause of ones chronic pain.
The acupuncture treatments are comparable to none.

The facility is extremely clean and inviting with all the state of the art equipment!

Ryan and Joanna are one of the best. Ryan is one of few IMS practitioner in the GTA. He has been assisting me with my chronic issues with tight shoulder and neck pain management.

Joanna and Ryan are very knowledgeable and can help pinpoint the source of your pain/​situation, no matter how much or little you describe your situation. Joanna in particular has been instrumental in treating my neck/​shoulder tension issues rising from my office job, and has helped subside the headaches I often experience.
What’s great is that I haven’t been hooked up to any machines or asked to simply do exercises as part of the treatment session (but I am given my homework to do exercises at home!). I love the method of manual therapy they use, which is all hands on treatment. Joanna is great at adjusting to the level of pressure she uses in treating me.
The clinic is very bright and clean, and my visits have been pleasant. I recommend this clinic to anyone in the North York area in need of a great physiotherapist.

Ryan is the only physiotherapist that has been able to help me manage my chronic lower back and neck pain. What I found to be unique and effective is Ryan’s use of manual Physiotherapy techniques that incorporate the use of hands to stimulate the tissue, muscles, etc. In addition, he is very pleasant and makes what is often a painful process, more lighthearted and positive.
After multiple visits to other physiotherapists that simply attached me to a stimulation machine and showed me exercises, I can safely say that Symmetry is a great place for treatment. I highly recommend those who need physical therapy go to Symmetry Physiotherapy!
