Dr. Uma Ratnasingam

Owner and Optometrist

Optometrist and Eyes By Design owner Uma Ratnasingam is focused on providing top quality eye care and excellent service to every patient, every visit.

Dr. Ratnasingam received a B.Sc. Honours degree in Biology, McMaster University in 2000, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2005. He completed ocular disease training at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospitals in Huntington, West Virginia, and Palo Alto, California, with further specialized training at the Paediatric Vision Clinic and the Advanced Care Clinic at the Illinois Eye Institute.

He practiced in Seattle and Chicago before returning to Canada in 2008 to start his Burlington practice. Dr. Ratnasingam currently manages two GTA optometric practices and owns and manages Eyes by Design.
