I need to come back here soon. I absolutely love their cupcakes! Its so moist and the frosting is just right. I love, love, LOVE their Hostess cupcake… I totally recommend it for chocolate lovers. I really do. Get it!
The only down side to this is that they sometimes run out of cupcakes (some sell out fast) and you are left with other varieties which isn’t so bad. Just depends if you have a favourite then you might get disappointed if their sold out. If your lucky on a certain day, then they have it in store.
The prices are reasonable and well worth it of course. Am surprised this place doesnt have high ratings because the cupcakes are great!
They also offer services (orders for customized cake, cupcakes)… awesome for occasions and a bribe for someone with a sweet tooth!
I highly recommend you try this place!

On the weekend, we picked up cupcakes and a cake for our daughter’s first birthday. They were delicious! My wife visited the store a couple weeks ago and placed the order and on Saturday, she went to pick them up and they were ready and waiting on time and all packaged up. We tried the vanilla and cookies & cream cupcakes and both were excellent. And chose a smaller chocolate cake for cutting as well. The products were very reasonably priced as well. All in all, we were very impressed with the food and would definitely recommend them for anyone else looking to get desserts. Thank you!

Beware… You are buying day old cupcakes especially when ordering in advance. Shouldn’t they be made the same day??? When I shared my concerns about freshness with the staff I was given attitude.

It’s true.
I love cupcakes. It might be hereditary, because my mother loves cupcakes too.
So, when she came to look after my kids last week a few days after her birthday, I stopped at Swirls Cupcake Shop on Dundas Street after work to pick up half a dozen.
If you are allergic to peanuts like I am, Swirls is a great option for you. They are known for their peanut-​free facility and have labels, stickers and signs to remind you. I understand that they are popular with the schools in the area, when parents want to bring in cupcakes and other treats for kids.
With options like «Chocolate Therapy», «Lemon Luau» and «Hostess» (my personal fave), there really are options for everyone. The cake is spongy and light, as is their frosting, for those of you who aren’t too into the super-​sweet buttercream that many other cupcake joints use. (I, for one, am happy with either!)
They also make beautiful cakes, cookies and even offer gelato, sandwiches, pizza and coffee. It’s more than just a cupcake shop. It’s got a nice big space with some tables and a wide door to their bakery so that you can see the bakers in action. The staff are as sweet as the treats they serve you.
It’s a great peanut-​free option and kid/​family-​friendly. The prices aren’t surprising. I’d be interested to know what a custom cake costs… see the gorgeous photos!
Make sure you park in the back of the building and get there are early in the day as you can. I missed out on some «Chocolate Therapy», and think I may need to go back very soon.

Amazing cupcakes! Heard about this place and thought I’d try it out. The cupcakes were awesome. Picked up a bunch around valentine’s day for the family. Chocolate therapy is an excellent flavor along with the raspberry cupcakes.
The service was excellent and the place is very clean.

I ordered a custom cake in the shape of a guitar for my boyfriends 30^th birthday. It turned out AMAZING! It was more than enough for 20 people and everyone loved it.
The only downside was that there were a few plastic pieces in the cake to hold it together that were sticking out which we somehow missed. The lady didn’t mention it when I picked it up, and a few people almost ate them.

Delicious. Great selection of cupcakes. The one with the oreo on top was very good. They also have other treats and ice cream If i recall. The shop is also nicely decorated!

Located on Dundas Street West, it was a convenient stop for me as I was driving through the Junction. They have parking as well, so I didn’t need to park on the street.
They have cupcakes for $ 2.25 each and other baked goodies.
«The Hostess» cupcake was a chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache with a vanilla center. It tasted like a Joe Louie but in cupcake form!
The «Still a Vanilla» cupcake was a vanilla cupcake (surprise!) topped with rainbow coloured sprinkles. The buttercream was surprising smooth and soft.
However, I found that the cake part of the cupcake was quite greasy.
I also wanted to try a non-​cupcake treat.
I couldn’t help myself and I bought a lemon square.
It was sweet and lemony and the bottom was oh-​so-​buttery.
I’ll be back again to try more cupcakes! =D

I was looking for a reliable bakery for my son’s birthday cake, so I found Swirls on Unilocal and after reading the positive reviews decided to try them out.
They were great, very professional and delivered right on time. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and enormous. Swirls is my new go-​to bakery for all my events, I absolutely love them.

On a hunt for a nut-​free bakery for a party, this place really hit the spot with its cupcakes! They were super fresh, and they had a range of flavours (Oreo ones were super!) and they were really moist! Decently priced at $ 2.25 per cupcake or $ 23 for a dozen. Staff were friendly. The place looks like it picks up a bit more in the summer (there’s an ice cream bar at Swirls as well.)

I first ordered cupcakes from Swirls for my son’s birthday party. I went into the store a purchased a variety of cupcakes, so that I could sample which ones I liked best.
I ended up choosing about four flavours with different icing varieties. The ordering process was simple enough other than one mishap.
During the ordering process, I asked if they had the option of making a larger cupcake (for the birthday recipient) in order for it to stand out against the rest. I was told that this was possible, so I went ahead and ordered a single, larger cupcake. When I picked up my order, I inquired about the larger cupcake and was told that it wasn’t possible and that whoever told me it could be done was wrong.
I was a bit miffed, but there was nothing I could do but be on my way.
The cupcakes were, for the most part, enjoyed by all. There is always going to be a few people that don’t enjoy it because everyone has different tastes, i.e. some like sweet and some… not so much.
Having said that, I really enjoyed the lemon luau cupcake. In fact, I ate more than one, which isn’t a good thing for my waistline. :)
I enjoyed my cupcakes so much, that there was no hesitation in making another large order for my sister’s baby shower.
This time around, I ordered lemon luau, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and the big apple cupcakes. They were all DELICIOUS. Ridiculously sweet but so yummy! Yes… I sampled each one! I had a lot of guests comment about how good the cupcakes were and a few asked where I ordered them from.
I knew the cupcakes were going to be a hit because they were so fresh. I could tell from taking them out of the carry case to the display rack.
Also, my ordering process was very simple. The order taker was courteous and even went out of her way to help me with a single, gluten-​free cupcake that I almost forgot to purchase for one of my guests with a severe allergy.
I will definitely purchase from here again without hesitation.

I just tried swirls cupcakes for the first time and i can say i will never go to any other cupcake shop. Great, fair prices and an excellent product. I had the raspberry beret and charming hostess and both were Amazing !

Update: on my most recent visit, I realized that they do indeed now have some bistro tables and chairs, as well as an espresso machine. Not overwhelmingly quaint or cozy, but they are trying.
P. S. We liked the Marble cupcakes so much, we went back 2 days in a row. The Cookies & Cream cupcake didn’t wow us as much.

I’ve wanted to go to Swirls for quite some time, their website claims to be the best cupcakes in Toronto, so I had to check it out. Cupcakes are happy food, served in happy places, right? The interior of Swirls made me want to leave before I ordered. It was just-​so-​sad. The ambiance lacking, I chose a «Charming Hostess» cupcake to go. The cupcake was a riff on the classic hostess cupcake filled with cream and covered in chocolate ganache. The cupcake was acceptable but not that special. I would not go out of my way to visit Swirls again.

I like Swirls because it’s close to my house and I can always count on popping in and grabbing some cupcakes as a dessert for a dinner party when I’m too lazy to bake.
A variety of diff. flavors including mango, red velvet, raspberry and strawberry but our favourite is the lemon coconut. Clear winner every tme!
Cupcakes are $ 2.25 each and you can get a dozen for about $ 20-​$ 22.

Have been a few times in the past and was always content with the product. Although not the best cupcakes I’ve tasted.
Today I went and everything in the case looked tired and rather small. We had a couple of cupcakes and I did not finish mine.
I also bought a couple of Whoopie pies to take home. My kids did not even like them. I tried it and it was dry and bland.
Hopefully when I go next time, which may be a while, it will be better.

My brother got me hooked on these cupcakes when he picked some up for my nephews’ birthday a few years back. Since then, they’ve been a rare treat, as we don’t find ourselves heading out to Streetsville all that often. I have a feeling they’ll become a not-​so-​rare treat now that they’ve opened a location in Etobicoke!
The Etobicoke location is a much larger space than the Mississauga one, if I recall correctly. They had a great selection of different cupcakes to choose from, as well as some other sweet goodies that I didn’t really take stock of because, hi! all about the cupcakes. They had some cakes on display, including an apple-​shaped Twilight cake (perfect for your favourite Twi-​hard)!
We picked up a dozen cupcakes and they were very fresh, oh, and YUMMY!!! My personal favourites were the Raspberry Beret, Lemon Luau and my boyfriend savoured the Marblous Swirl & Charming Hostess flavours.

Swirls has arrived in Etobicoke!!! This is so great. I live in the Etobicoke area and I used to travel to their little shop in Mississauga. Now I can have my favourite little treats whenever I want. Let me tell you their new store is quite a step up. This shop offers at least 9 flavours a day and they are displayed beautifully for all to see. I loved the Red Velvet and Marbleous Swirl cupcakes I had. The also offer cheesecake bars, cookies and some squares.
Also, Swirls makes incredible cakes. Today I saw them creating a huge yacht from cake… it was like watching Cake Boss in person. It is about time that Etobicoke had a shop like this one.
