Supperworks is a fantastic concept. I wish I though of it myself. There are two ways to use this service. The first, is ordering pre-organized meals that they have prepped for you. Then, during the week you follow their directions(which are as easy as «cook pasta from bag 1 with sauce from bag 2») and have quick, healthy, home cooked meals already planned out for you and ready to go. Secondly, they do parties. This is how I was introduced to Supperworks, as part of a corporate party. A group of 12 of us or so donned aprons, drank complementary wine and went from station to station putting«an ounce of this and and ounce of that» into Ziplock bags. We then took our bags, and recipes and a slight buzz home with us. During the week, when things got busy, I’d pull out a Supperworks package and make a quick healthy dinner. The party was really fun, and it would be PERFECT for a baby shower or anything involving busy moms. Having them prepare the packages costs slightly more, you save a bit by coming in and making the packs your self from already prepped ingredients. It only takes an hour or so. They accommodate dietary restrictions, and had no problem giving me alternatives. I am an avid cook, and I already carefully meal plan and shop accordingly, so Supperworks isn’t really a service that I need regularity. That being said, I really enjoyed it and found it to be of tremendous value. Anyone who wants to be able to cook their own meals at home in under 20 min without any thought or pre-preparation, I cannot think of anything better. Faster and healthier and cheaper than takeout. *Note! For the environmentally concerned, Supperworks takes the Ziplocks back for proper recycling. Still MUCH less waste than takeout. grr*

First time checking this place out today. Love the concept. Basically the company does all the prep for you, you just put the meals together. No cooking involved. Instructions are easy to follow and well everything is right there for you. We were able to make 9 entrees in about 1 hr, which should last my wife and I for a month worth of weekday meals. Can’t speak to the quality of the meals just yet, but the produce seemed fresh and its nice to be able to put your meals together without having to do any cleanup. The place was very well laid out and each station had everything we needed to assemble our meals. By the 2nd meal, I felt I was working on an assembly line *L* But you don’t go here to cook, you just want to be in and out with your meals ready to go. My one beef is that supperworks charges a bit more than their other Toronto competitor, Suppersolved and seems to be a bit chintzy about their portions. Personally, I liked the fact that Suppersolved gives you foil containers to cook your food when you get home(equals less cleanup), but Supperworks gives you ziplock bags. Either way, we don’t have to worry about what to cook for the next month, which is always a positive when you have a baby to take care of.
