We had the very best pasta dinner last night! And, Supperworks made it possible. We had Pasta all’Amaticiana … it was amazing! I love pasta, my husband is not as happy about pasta dinners as I. However, he raved about this one. This was exceptional. This was such a delicate sauce, I know I would not have made this dish from scratch. We spent a lovely afternoon out enjoying what will possibly be the last of the Autumn sunshine and leaves. Came home for a glass of wine and some reading by the fire. No chopping, slicing or dicing … within 45 minutes this incredible dinner including their Rosemary Focaccia and a salad was on the table. And, another glass of wine :-) I love it! Great meal with no fuss. Thank you. Leaside Supperworks.

Supperworks is fantastic and a great value. Very convenient if you are working and have a busy life. I know there are some reviews of other Supperworks locations, but in case you’re just reading mine, here is what it is: You order the meals you want in advance and can order 6, 9 or 12 meals. If you are like myself, living as a couple or single, you can order these as split meals, which means you’d be getting 12, 18 or 24. You pay I think $ 5 for this(really it’s added bags and prep for them), but usually when you order in advance and at the store, they give you a $ 5 discount, so it works out anyway. You choose your date and time and then show up to put your meals together. Say you arrive on a Saturday morning session. They will have coffee(or wine) available for you to drink as you prepare and then there are stations set up and you go from station to station and simply follow the instructions to put your meals together. You add a sticker on each bag that tells you preparations instructions(cooking times and what not) and then move onto the next station. All the veggies are chopped and ingredients laid out, so it’s very easy. I bring my husband and he tackles one station while I tackle another. I also see families with kids and the parents will have the kids follow the instructions and help prepare the meals. The meals are kept in ziploc freezer bags and then when you get home you keep whatever you’re not initially using in the freezer. I take out the meal I’m having the night before to defrost by the time I get home from work. Then it’s usually a matter of throwing something onto a pan and turning on the oven. I love this service because I find that these meals are much cheaper than takeout, healthier and include a lot of materials that if I were to buy them all separately, it would cost a lot of money and most of it would go to waste. The split meals are great for 2 – 3 people(depending on how much you eat) and work out into perfect portions. I should note that these are main courses, so any side dishes, salad or what-nots you want will have to be added by you. They have side suggestions on the stickers you put on the bags. The people at the Supperworks are always extremely pleasant and helpful. They are happy to help you out and they clean constantly, so the place is always in tip-top shape. You can buy pre-prepared meals and side dishes there, but those I find expensive. The best value comes from ordering in advance. Ex. the last two times I have been there I have received a free entrée if I order for the next month, so 7 entrees for the price of 6. Remember that each entrée for me is two meals, so 14 meals and two weeks of food. I love to cook, but rarely have the time to do it as I might like, with the buying of ingredients and prep work and so on. This makes me feel like I’m making good meals, with good ingredients. It’s great and I would really recommend this.
