Meet the Business Owner

Frances W.

Business Owner

Frances Wood emigrated to Canada from Ireland as a registered nurse in the 1960’s. By the late 1970’s — encouraged by her long-time friend, Billy Munelley, of ‘Best Bottles fame’ — she made a drastic career change into the restaurant business

Following many successful and inspiring trips to Louisiana, Frances has found her niche. She combined her love of folk art and antiques, music and food at Southern Accent

«We have combined the influence of the wonderful chefs of New Orleans whom we visited on our many trips to Louisiana, with our own ideas.»,.

After many partners, who all had their creative input, we continue with my partner Thessavan Maniceavasakan this tradition of including many other cuisines in this melting pot of Cajun and Creole cooking .This has resulted in innovative recipes which we want to share with you, along with our version of the traditional ones, join us soon and experience the sights sounds and tastes of New Orleans as we know it.
