True to its name, «Soft Voice» in Italian, Sotto Voce’s understated elegance has made it a gem of the nieghborhood. A favorite with locals and great for cozy dates, its laid back atmosphere also invites you and your friends to unwind while sipping on some reasonably priced vino and nibbling on antipasti, insalate, or pasta. Sotto Voce specializes in Italian comfort food and features an extensive wine list. The sunny patio is perfect for enjoying to summer weather with friends and people watching with a pitcher of Sangria.

Sotto Voce has been a staple of the vibrant College Street scene. Known for its ambiance & its cuisine, this intimate Yabu & Pushelberg designed space has become a magnet for local hipsters, film and fashion industry professionals and you! As you enter, you’ll be enamoured by the eclectic décor with open air kitchen, energetic patrons and upbeat music.
The Voce boasts an extensive list of old and new world wines, including 20 wines available by the glass. While the chalked-up daily specials change constantly, signature primi dishes include the Crostini with chianti carmelized figs, prosciutto and goat cheese on a toasted baguette, and black peppercorn encrusted Carpaccio, fresh Crudo or Zucchini Fritti! For a secondo, choose from a rotating selection of daily pastas and risotto or try our grilled lamb, steak or branzino! Open for dinner Monday to Saturday nights. Don’t forget every Monday is Recession Monday where $ 25 buys you a glass of wine, a salad and a full bowl of fresh pasta!

Business Owner
Alan has been in the Biz for 30 years, Anita was born in the Hotel and Restaurant business. Alan from Montréal worked in all the iconic Toronto Bars; The Winsor Arms, Bemelman’s, Stilife, The Orbit Room. Anita’s parents immigrated from Italy and in their early 20 bought a Hotel and thus it began. In 1992 Anita met Alan at Stilife where Alan knew she was his one true love. Their next love was Sotto Voce! And since 2000, they have turned their joint experience, passion and life style into The Voce…
