Salon Y specializes in precision haircuts and colour, special occasion up-​styles and bridal parties, blowouts, perms and permanent straightening, smoothing treatments and hair extensions (fusion and tracks).

History

Established in 2012.

Salon Y first opened in the Toronto fashion district of Queen West before relocating into a spacious and inviting storefront on Bloor Street West.

Formed through the 25 year friendship of founders Yanna Karadimas and Teresa Gomez. Their passion for hair, beauty and fashion has allowed them to create a unique salon with a strong grasp of environmental awareness within a diverse space.

Their highly skilled and trained staff add a friendly and welcoming environment where precision colours and cuts result in a very happy clientele.

Yanna K.

Business Owner

Yanna’s expertise combined with her approachable friendly demeanour has made this spicy Greek girl a favourite in the city. Her passion for hairstyling is shown through each personal style she creates for her clients.

Throughout her 20 year career, Yanna has worked on a variety of campaigns for major corporate clients including FASHION Magazine, Flare Magazine, Toronto Fashion Week and Cover Girl as well as with Canadian talent such as Jane Sibery and October Brown and countless short films and documentaries. She has also been an educator for the CHI Company and represented them at the ABA Hair show.

Yanna specializes in a wide range of hair types from thick, coarse and curly hair to fine, flat hair and she is an expert colour technician.
