Popeyes Supplements

WORST SERVICE EVER!
This is one of the worst stores for supplements I’ve ever been to.
I’ve been buying from Popeyes in the Burlington location, and although not the best in service, definitely their staff makes an effort and where always very friendly with me, seeing as how I spend over 300/​month on this type of stuff and it was good.
I came to this store at around 8pm on June 18^th 2015 @8pm. I was there to buy a pre workout drink for my workouts. I was finally greeted by a male associate, in his 30’s, white, long hair looked tied in a ponytail or something, around 5 foot 8, average build. Anyway, asked him for help finding a new pre workout, and got some run-​of-​the-​mill service, but that’s fine. He had a bit of an attitude and you could tell he had zero interest in wanting to help me.
When we got to the cash he didn’t even to bother to see if I was in their system, I had to ask him to get the popeyes cash they give you when you buy something from their stores (Think their way of a GNC gold card). Every time I’ve been to a popeyes store, all their associates where always willing to talk to me about little things such as my diet, what sort of things I should be eating to reach my goals (or to get the most out of the supplements). I’ve seen this store PROMOTE this in their flyers and always got amazing service from the guys in Burlington. When I asked this guy for any suggestions he told me I needed ‘PROFESSIONAL HELP’. Yeah, no thanks. I don’t need mental health advice from someone selling supplements and thought that was extremely rude and out of line. You are a HEALTH SUPPLEMENT/​FOOD STORE and you say that to me when I ask for diet advice??? So very rude.
I posted a huge rant to my 1400+ friends on Facebook, and also to my twitter page. DON’T SHOP HERE! These guys are rude and have no clue what they are talking about. With service like this they’ll be closed down or bought out by GNC in no time. You’d expect better from a YONGE AND BLOOR LOCATION!!!
I always used to trust popeyes for my workout supplements and spent tons of money here (1000’S/yr).Never again. it’s nice to see how much they value my business. I’ll be sure to take my money to GNC where I’ll get friendly service and actual help. and I’ll also be sure to let my friends/​colleagues in the modeling/​entertainment industry know (big buyers of this sort of thing) to never ever shop here and to go to GNC instead. really disappointed
**Edit/​add This is my first review here, and I normally don’t post reviews, but I was really shocked that as a customer I was treated like this. I wanted to return the item minutes later but needed it for my workout the next day, thus, why I started a Unilocal account.
**UPDATE: Ruan (the owner/​operator) contacted me and offered a sincere apology and has attempted to make things right. I was very impressed with his sincere apology and his attempt to change my mind as a customer and give them another shot. Thanks, Ruan! I can see you value your customers and this was most likely an isolated incident based on the quick email I got from Ruan to make things right.

Great experience at Popeyes Supplements at the. Yonge and Charles location. Sam (I how that’s his name), the sales associate there was amazing. Really knowledge and not pushy. It can be a bit overwhelming with all the different products and he was very helpful in helping me decide on the ones that I felt would help me achieve my goals. I Will be going back.

These guys have everything you need in the supplement world, huge variety. They even have Nuts N More which you dont finally find everywhere. Guys were friendly and ready to answer your questions. I am a visitor in Toronto checked few places and this one was the one that blew me away. If you’r not sure what to get or dont have an idea of what you need Im sure the guys over there would help you with any kind of informatiom. Prices are reasonable. If i was to live here, this would be my to go to Supps store.

First off: I use these kinds of products daily. Vitamins and protein/​meal replacement type of things. I am often on the road and its a big help to staying strong. This store is also next door for me. should be the easy choice… The staff is: as one guy said here, «hit and miss»…sometimes nice, sometimes disinterested juicehead types, I dont present like a bodybuilder or a real hot chick I guess so I am boring. and get bad service. :-(… Repeatedly I have some guy telling me what I am trying to buy in there is NO good, and telling me something else is much better as if Im a moron. The next time its another guy telling me THIS one is no good you should use THIS… not good sales and confusing to the customer. Maybe the trick is to just start buying online and forget about the store. I used to have a great relationship with the guys at Sports Nutrition Depot down the street when it was open, so I don’t exactly get why Popeyes is so different.

my girlfriend was looking for vegan or non-​whey based protein powder for herself so we checked out two places: noah’s and popeyes. i had recommended popeyes because i, myself (previous to this review), have gone there religiously in the past to stock up on supplements (fish oil, creatine, bcaa, msm, greens, etc) and protein powder. i think the customer service is fairly hit or miss; some days you will get associates who will be very friendly and helpful; other days you get the asshole juicehead then won’t even look at you because «do you even lift, bro?»
well, last thursday afternoon, we got the latter. we walked in, guy looked up at us from behind the cash and just went back to whatever he was doing even when i smiled and nodded at him. ok, fine, he probably didn’t see me i thought. another associate came out from the back and greeted us. we walked around, compared prices (that is a part of shopping, is it not?) my girlfriend didn’t find anything that she wanted, but i had made mental notes of several products i wanted to buy next time they had their customer appreciation sales (which are pretty good, tbh). as we walked out, the same guy behind the cash just kept on saying «thanks for coming in, thanks for stopping by, have a nice day, etc» but in an extremely condescending and patronizing tone. i didn’t even bother to acknowledge him but i’ve had a negative experience there the last 2 or 3 times. not that they care but i don’t think i will be going back there.

WAY better than GNC. I will never go back there.
Popeye’s employees are very knowledgeable and polite. Their prices are far cheaper than any other suppliment store — and the best part — for every $ 20 you spend, you get $ 1 back toward your next purchase!
Highly recommend this location!

Terrible prices and their Popeyes dollars suck. I had Popeyes dollars and I thought I could use them as 9 $. Turns out you can only use 20% of the purchase price. I paid for the bar I bought and walked out and threw the rest in the trash. Save yourself money and buy on

Very competitive prices. Compared prices on my phone while I was in the store and they were on par with Canadian online retailers. Also, 10% student discount! I’ll be coming back for sure.

One of my big problems with Canada is that it hasn’t moved into the 21^st Century in terms of online ordering. In any other Western Country you can order a product online and have it shipped the next day. Compare the variety of things you can buy on
to the crappy selection of books and movies you can only buy on
and you’ll notice the big difference.
Knowing that, I was surprised how wonderful the service of Popeye’s supplements website,
. They have a huge selection of health and fitness supplements, all reasonably priced. Ordering online was easy and I received my order the next day! A nice added touch was the card I received a month later thanking me for my order and offering free shipping on my next purchase.
I highly recommend Supplements Canada for all your health and fitness needs.
