Physio@Home TORONTO provides physiotherapy services in the comfort and convenience of your own home, within the Toronto area.

We are committed to providing patient-​centered evidence based assessments and treatments, helping you recover quickly from any surgery or injury you have. We focus on helping YOU manage your pain and getting you back moving again by providing manual therapy (hands on treatment), therapeutic exercises and modalities (Tens, Ultrasound).

Physio@Home Toronto is perfect for people who have pain or mobility issues that make getting to a clinic a hastle, or for people who have busy lives and prefer to have their physiotherapist come to them! We specialize in treating baby-​boomers and active seniors and people recovering from surgeries such as total joint replacements.

All of our services are provided by regulated physiotherapists (no assistants are used) and are fully covered by most extended health benefit plans.

History

Established in 2013.

Physiotherapist Patrick Mayne started Physio@Home TORONTO because he noticed there was a growing interest and need for physiotherapy home visits. After years of working in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, sports teams, etc. he realized that there are many people that need physiotherapy rehab but who either cannot get to a rehab clinic, because of pain or mobility issues, or would prefer to have a physiotherapist come and treat them in their own home. Examples include people who are sent home quickly after a surgery in hospital, people with acute back pain (eg. sciatica), pregnant women with complications placed on bed rest, people who don’t like being «just another number» in a busy rehab clinic and busy professionals with busy lives. Patrick finds that patients enjoy the comfort and convenience of being treated in their own homes, in a relaxed setting, and he enjoys working this way too!

Patrick Mayne is an Ontario regulated physiotherapist working in Toronto. He is the director and physiotherapist at Physio@Home TORONTO and he also works part-​time at Toronto’s largest sports medicine clinic called The Sports Medicine Specialists. Patrick has over 10 years of experience helping a variety of people (athletes, workers, seniors, baby-​boomers, etc) recover from their injuries (surgeries like total joint replacements, acute back pain, spinal cord injuries, ankle sprains, muscle strains, repetitive strain injuries, pinched nerves etc.) in a variety of settings (hospitals, in home, rehab clinics, schools and sports medicine clinics).

Patrick holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University and he has advanced skills in manual therapy (hands on treatment). His area of expertise is orthopaedics and sports medicine and he has a special interest in treating baby-​boomers.
