Pegasus Studios is a family-​oriented arts community in East Toronto offering exceptional, non-​competitive training in dance (RAD ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, tap, musical theatre), yoga and visual arts for children from infants to teens; and fitness, Pilates, yoga and dance for adults. They specialize in pre-​school and early childhood music and movement education.

One of the highlights of the year is the annual dance recital that is a showcase for all of the students.

History

Established in 1986.

by a mother and daughter team, Pegasus Studios has a rich history of expertise in providing children, from birth trhough adulthood, with a positive and fun environment to explore, develop and express their natural creativity.

From its early beginnings in a one-​room studio space, it now houses exemplary facilities that include three purpose-​built dance studios, an art studio, two fully equipped Pilates studios, a fitness/​yoga studio, change rooms and a small dancewear boutique.

Meet the Business Owner

Jane D.

Business Owner

Jane Davis-​Munro is the co-​founder and director of Pegasus Studios, a successful dance studio in Toronto since 1986. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as a Tutor and Practical Teaching Supervisor for the RAD Faculty of Education.

Jane is a graduate of Ryerson University, Theatre Department specializing in dance. She holds the RAD teachers diploma and is an Associate member of the Imperial Society of Dance (Modern and National Branch). She is a certified Early Childhood Educator (Canadian Mothercraft Society) and is a Licensed Educator with Kindermusik International.

Jane has been working with pre-​school children and developing her signature program integrating music, movement and art, called ‘Childhood Expressions’. Jane’s reputation as an educator of young children, dancers and student teachers has extended over 30 years.
