Love this little branch. Staff is very helpful. I get request ANYTHING and it’s all good. I love the Toronto Library system as a whole.

I am a regular user of Toronto Public Library and this was my home branch for a long time. This is a mid-​size branch with lots of focus on community services and international language books; not surprising given that it’s Parkdale. I irregularly use their free wifi but it’s hard to concentrate and work there, especially during summer when the place is swarming with kids. There are spaces on the lower level which folks can rent for community events. The installation outside — fountain inside the globe — is quite distinctive. Proud to have a fully functional library in the neighbourhood!

Parkdale Library is quite decent.
A lot of shared communal tables right in the middle of the library… So you might able to get a seat… but there are not too many places to chill out…
So come here to have some work done, use their Wifi. then move on…

This 1960s-​era utilitarian building is okay, but its meeting space is rather antiseptic. It has good WiFi, but it’s hard to get a seat in the place during the school year, especially from four o’clock onwards. It’s noisy, and not because it’s a small place, unlike Runnymede or Swansea Memorial branches; but, because so many people are constantly using the library. I find it hard to read or write here. However, if you are looking for books and materials related to African-​Canadian history or culture, this is a good library to cruise the bookshelves to find that material.
Serves its community well, but I generally avoid it unless I have a meeting to attend there.

I love the library! I can reserve any book online and they bring it to the Parkdale Library for me… how nice is that?
This branch isn’t the best but it’s decent. It’s one big open room, but there’s enough seating usually and lots of computers (8 – 10?) available to use, plus wifi. Staff is nice and helpful most of the time. Hours kinda suck on the weekends but I don’t know if that’s specific to this branch? (E.g. Sunday 130−5pm)
Do your library-​ing online! Just come to the branch for pick-​up and drop-​off… that’s what I do, and the library is my best friend.

This is my local library and I use it a lot.
Most of the people who work there are friendly and helpful (some will ignore you).
There are lots of programs for the community. Plus there are lots of computers with Internet. There is WIFI so you can bring your own laptop.
