History
Established in 1997.
In 1997, Chef Gabriele Paganelli started Romagna Mia with the idea of introducing Torontonians and visitors from all over the world to the cuisine of Emilia-Romagna. Gabriele’s vision was to share the
taste and flavours of his Emilia-Romagna region. Traditional fresh home-made pasta, piadina and award winning risotto immediately thrust Chef into Toronto’s culinary spotlight.
Located in north central Italy, bordering on the Adriatic Sea in the east, this northern province is widely considered the gastronomic capital of Italy. From these areas, the gastronomic delights of Parmigiano-Reggiano are produced using century old techniques and recipes.
Today, our kitchen is run by our very own Chef Andrea Boscherini, also hailed from Emilia-Romagna. Andrea has retained the authentic flavour and quality of the region while infusing his own expertise. Andrea is from a new school of chefs, very bold and adventurous on flavour and taste.
