I by passed this place with my family. My brother wanted bubble tea. I didn’t expect it to be good. I got a strawberry green tea with lychee. I was surprised that it tasted good. I thought it would be water down. This taught me to never judge the store by its appearance.

I was not very optimistic that the bubble tea of this tiny store would be very good. I was anticipating mediocre at best tea, but desperate times call for desperate measures. And the daughter was desperate for something cold to drink, pronto, after hours of gallivanting about Chinatown and Kensington Market. They surpassed my expectations with the delicious lychee tea and the great customer service. I must say, however, that what made me very happy about stopping by was sugar cane juice. They have fresh sugar cane juice that they extract from sugar cane right in your presence, and it is every bit as delicious as I remember from childhood. Minus the effort of biting through sugar cane and the fear of having to sacrifice any of your teeth to get that delightfully light juice. This is a really great find, and I hope that many other stores near me would start offering fresh sugar cane juice.

When I first stumbled upon this combination cell phone case /boba store I thought it was pretty rachet. Bought an iPhone screen protector and then got myself some boba. Boba was pretty good — I got the honey milk tea and it definitely had a strong honey taste to it. It was wayy too sweet for my liking though. Boba pearls were chewy and pretty good. One measly table to sit on — definitely a grab and go kind of place. Also the iPhone screen protector is holding up super well!

With this hot weather I need to hone down on the best bubble tea spots in the city. Hoping to gain the title of bubble tea connoisseur at some point… Natural is 9 is a-ok. Nothing too exiting. Friendly service, very quick to make my tea. A wide but not overly exciting selection of teas. Only 3 stars because I found my bubble tea watery. I believe they used fresh juice. Tapioca was a little bit too hard in the middle. Its not amazing, its not bad. If you are in the area and in need of a quick bubble tea hit, go for it.

Natural 9 has decent bubble tea and prices are on the low side — consistent with prices at many other shops in Toronto. The bubble tea is not spectacular, but nothing in particular to complain about either. The powdered Taro bubble tea I ordered was just slightly watery but otherwise refreshing. The pearls were a little bit too soggy; almost right but could have been a bit more chewy. Many places in Markham make a better bubble tea, but this is the best I’ve tried so far in Chinatown, so I’ll give it 4 stars.

Did I go on a bad day? Is there another Natural 9 on Spadina that is the complete opposite of this one? Were these reviewers slipped a roofie in their bubble tea? We had the honeydew and taro bubble tea smoothies with tapioca. The tapioca was incredibly hard and had a disgusting, rotten aftertaste. So not worth the 50 cent add-on. The smoothies themselves had way too much powder and sugar. We barely put a dent in them before raising the white flag and chucking them into the trash. There was so much powder that I became nauseous the rest of the day, and I normally have an iron stomach. Nope. Never again. No. The staff was friendly, although in order to pay with credit card they took me back into the dark depths of the store where there were typical shady Chinatown dealings with tables and walls lined with cheap knockoff products for sale. My poor girlfriend was worried I would get kidnapped. Waste of $ 9.

I had a yummy taro flavored bubble tea here. The woman was very nice. She was able to make my drink half-sweet. I don’t need all that sugar. I wish I could go back.

The hole in the wall might be small but the personality inside is as warm and inviting as it gets. We ordered a waffle out front and sat inside and ordered our bubble teas. I ordered a pineapple/coconut combo with bubble and my wife ordered the same. The woman suggested my wife order a peach/mango and that way we would be able to share and have more flavors. She was right, and both teas we’re really good. The peach mango tea was actually really really refreshing and tasty. She showed us that she makes the bubbles her self, and she takes a lot of pride in her work and she loves making people happy. Spot on. The waffle was delicious too. We we’re bouncing from place to place eating different dumplings and bbq and the waffle was a perfect treat. Stop in, it’s kind of hard to find but it’s behind the little waffle stand.

I was actually surprised to find that other people also reviewed Natural 9(I thought only me and my friends loved it!), but I have to say that they are my absolute favourite BBT store. The drinks are the best! They’re cheaper than other places, the portions are bigger, and they’re always really tasty. They only use a minimal amount of ice or none at all if you ask(unlike other places down the street that fill almost 2⁄3 of the container with ice). The tapioca is free with any drink, so if you order let’s say, green apple jelly, they will still give you tapioca too. The owners said they make the tapioca themselves. The owners are very friendly, and often give out discount coupons or loyalty cards.

This is my FAVOURITE bubble tea place. «It’s like the Starbuck of bubble tea» my friend proclaimed when I took her there. A bold statment comparing a small hole in the wall bubble tea establishment to a multi-billion and largest coffee company in the world… But I’m with her. The reason I love this bubble tea place is that they are incredibly kind about customization. They mix flavours, and even offer«half sweet» options.(I love sugar, but also have a low tolerance for super sweet beverages.) Half sweet bubble tea=allowed to drink twice as many. Fact. The woman who usually works here is always friendly. Once I ordered a coconut bubble tea, and I asked to have it without any of the sugar syrup. She did it, but also warned that that flavour wouldn’t be as good without any sugar, but told me that other flavours would lend well. She gave me my drink and told me that if I didn’t like it she would add some sugar. Well, she was right, it did need a little sweetness, and she happily took back my drink, added liquid gold(aka simple syrup) and gave it back to me. They offer a punch card, and also sometimes $ 1 off coupons. MYFAV

it’s a super tiny spot along spadina avenue just between college and dundas. I was craving for a bubble tea and all the nearby places were either packed or I doubted their hygienic conditions. this one looked nice and clean and I was welcomed right from the moment I stepped over the threshold. the variety of bubble teas offered is huge. tapioca and jelly available. they only have medium and large cup sizes. medium together with jelly(add +$ 0.50) came out to $ 3.96 and the portion was huge(looooots of tapioca! YUM!) Moreover I got a $ 1 discount coupon for my next visit! way to do the business=))
