Great Jamaican barber shop right off the busy Bloor strip in The Annex – basically across the street from the Bathurst Station. Really happy with the cut I got. My barber took his time and gave me a tight fade for only $ 18.50. I was surprised how cheap the cut was considering most places will charge $ 20-$ 25 for the same. Lots of interesting conversation ranging from politics to food to music. I noticed one of the barbers doing a great design as well so they have all aspects of black hair covered. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in Toronto.

Been going to Llyod’s for about 2 years. The best barbers are the guys in the back… steer clear of the older guys. Ask for Lennox he’s the best barber there but be prepared to wait cuz he gets a lot of business.

Big shock! Went to this saloon after checking the reviews on Unilocal.I have med-length hair which i wanted to shorten/trim a bit, explained that to the so called ”barber”(second one from the entrance), he made a face like he understood. Bottom line, i left with an inconsistent short cut hair that i cant even pull back! No single question from the guy as to whether he was cutting too much or not and i kept quite, wanna see to what extent this recklessness could stretch, really disappointing and shame on someone whose my father’s age to have such a weak performance coupled with ignorance!!! All cared for was chatting n laughing never stop with some non-customers sitting on the side. Conclusion: this shop is busy collecting money only, afraid of using blades n scissors, obviously because of lack of skills, all cut are done solely by machine which is a scandal in the world of hair styling, good for zero degree hair cut by machine which you can do your self at home. There isn’t a rating i can give lower than 1. p. s. This is the first time i review a service in my life.

Went to Golden Barber Shop first and had a horrible experience. Came to Lloyd’s next door and though it was marginally more expensive it was much more worth it. These guys are good and treat your hair with care. Highly recommend.

I’ve been getting my cut at Lloyd’s for a little over 10yrs. I can’t say enough about the service. Precise with the shears, friendly with the chat and reasonable with the prices. Mainly fades, shaves and lining up which is typical for a Jamaican barbershop. However, they do take all comers. I’ve seen them cut all types of styles with customers always walking away happy. These guys are the best!

Hands down, the best male barbers in the whole of toronto. But it’s meant for people with short hair and appreciate a fade or a line up. These guys spend an hour making your short haircut perfect(compare to the 10 min job you might find at lets say topcuts). Professional, and there’s always an interesting and philosophical conversation going on between the guys. My favorite barber is Barry, because he cuts your hair without talking to you and does a great job while at it ! Amazing. Alot fo the raptors go here and occasionally, i’ve seen some hip hop and hip pop toronto artists in there as well. But it’s a totally low key place and a haircut is only $ 15. I usually leave total $ 25 with a tip because they honestly do a great job.

So last week I had my latest Britney Meltdown and found myself in the Barbershop at Lloyds asking to have my head shaved. Here is my first impression. These guys are experts with the shaver. If you want a sweet fade, line up, or low faux hawk, this is a great place to go.(if you are unfamiliar with those terms, this is probably not a place for you.) They take their time, and execute with precision. They seem to care about their work. You get that real old school barbershop feel when at Lloyds. Its not your regular place, but if your going short on top, you can’t go wrong here. Note: they only take cash. No Visa/Interac machine.
