Legion

A party fo 4 have just returned from the visitng the new Legion restaurant on Danforth Ave, We decided to go in since we have seen this place being a work in progress since last year but never opened until just 2 weeks agao. It’s nestled amongst all the other restaurants on the Danforth and occupies the space of the old Myth Restaurant. You can’t miss it since it’s façade of a Roamn building is 3 stories. I appreciate the work that went into the exterior but Julius Ceasar would be disgusted with what they serve inside.
We decided to give it a try since we have only seen a maximum of 6 people in on the patio at any one time. We spoke to the hostess… she showed us the menu… and voila we were seated at the in the front patio. Did I mention every other patio was completely full adn we were the only people here. First red flag !!!
Second Red flag!!! 10 to 15 minutes to get 4 drinks… easy drinks… one beer, one coke, one ice tea and one San Beneditto water (sparkiling water). We ordered our food from the photocopied menus… my menu was wrinkled so I got a fresh sheet.
Third Red Flag: we ordered 1 lb of chicken wings …45 minutes for them to come… did we mention that we were stioll the only people in the restaurant.
The wings were disgusting… I had visions of Chef Ramsay going through the kitchen and pulling out old chicken and saying… How can you @#&^%$ serve that?“
My girlfriend ordered the Pirri Pirri chicken, she’s Portuguese, we have eaten it numerous times at real Portuguese resturants. One again disgusting. We left it.
Another person in our party ordered a New York steak well done… a real chef would never burn the steak to a charcoal crisp to get it well done.
