This was the worst RMT massage I’ve ever had in my life. Not only did the therapist not seem to know what she was doing — she kept taking her hands off me and going for long walks to get more oil — first rule of massage is always stay in contact with the body. She used her elbows and knuckles, too — and I am a very LIGHT pressure person. Ugh it was just uncomfortable and painful and awkward — PLUS, somebody’s dog was right outside barking as loud as he was in the room for almost the whole freakin massage. NOTRELAXING! And when I said I couldn’t take any more and wanted to end after 30 minutes the masseuse told me I couldn’t leave — she«HAD» to finish the other side — why? so both my sides can hurt? So I cut my one hour to 45 minutes. I do not recommend this place. STAYAWAY! Oh — AND it’s really weird because even though I was alone they put me in this couples treatment room so it was really cold… and the massage beds were not the usual kind. Lying face down was not comfortable.

Was here as I had gotten a Groupon for a 1hr aromatherapy massage. This place would be nice if you’re in the Eglinton/Yonge area & don’t want to pay too much. I had strained my back after bootcamp & was looking forward to the massage! The place was located on the second floor. When we got there, we were greeted and waited in the homely waiting area. They also offered us smth to drink. As noted by Unilocaler Cindy, it’s true the pressure was not always consistent. My masseuse however, did try & work on my back a little more as I told her about the bootcamp owned back. I usually fall asleep for at least a min during a massage but that did not happen on my visit here. My back felt great after the massage. However after an hour or so, it was starting to feel tight again… Afterwards, they offered us something to drink again & also gave us a business card w/another deal. However, I likely won’t be coming back.

Visited here about two weeks ago. Bought a package that included a facial, massage, body scrub and paraffin hand dip. I was about 10 minutes late and they were very gracious about it. Did not offer water or anything but I didn’t hold it against them as I was the tardy one and I know it’s important to try to keep appointments on schedule. The spa is tiny and dated, but cozy. Feels more like you’re in someone’s home and given that the employees all have that almost intense, eager to please frantic energy that only Asian beauty industry workers seem to possess, it’s easy to feel welcome. :) Facial — very thorough! It’s been a few weeks but I think she did a wash, light taps to encourage circulation, scrub, mask, extractions, that machine with the electric tip(to sterilize), all while being very professional and gentle. I’m very critical of how my facials are done, particularly because I find most techs are not thorough when it comes to extractions but she got everything! Massage — pleasant. She asked if the pressure was okay and adjusted accordingly, using a variety of techniques, including a WONDERFUL neck and head massage(which she managed to do without getting my hair all tangled, somehow!) Body scrub — again, very firm pressure but not painful. This was probably my favorite part. Very thorough and I think she went over my entire body a few times. Hand dip — skipped. I wasn’t that excited about it so she asked if I just wanted to prolong my massage instead which I bit on. My only complaints:(points 2 and 3 are what cost them a star) — Bit of a language barrier. — After the body scrub, she didn’t sweep the floor and I stepped on about an inch of sea salt. :( — I was supposed to be given options for the scrub(sea salt/chocolate/something else) and to pick between two different kinds of facials. She didn’t ask me for either of these… She did guess the options I would have picked anyway but a bit of a negative as the question should have been asked anyway. Overall, very pleased! I left a very generous tip and they said I can come back anytime for the same package.

Had a groupon for this place so wanted to try out their aromatherapy massage after a long workout. The place is located on the second floor along a busy strip of restaurants along Yonge. Walking in, my friend and I took a seat in front of the front desk and I noticed the place was quite small and the décor was quite dated. The staff was quite friendly and offered us water. We waited for a bit and they led us to the room at the very back of the place and we passed by a bathroom and a few small rooms. The room consisted of two beds and was dark, filled w the smell of essential oils and had calming music playing in the background. My friend and I laid on the bed face down into the«face hole» but found that the hole was poorly ventilated and it was a bit hard to breath. Our masseuse spoke okay English but did have a little trouble communicating. They asked us if we had any troubles or complaints(I guess about pain in our body). I told her I had pain in my shoulder area but did not notice that she paid particular attention to this area. I found that she was a bit inconsistent in the pressure she put on both sides of the body and the technique. Also I felt she spent too much time wiping the oil off my body. At the end she did this weird head massage where she was scratching my scalp and pulling my hair which I’ve never experienced before. Overall I found that it was definitely a good deal if you had a groupon or a promotion and wanted to have a relaxing afternoon. But if you actually had some muscle problems you might want to go somewhere else.

I’ve been here about 6 times for relaxation massages and once for a facial. The place itself is nothing special, but I was very happy with the services.

the rmt massage i got with maky: delightful!!!, the rooms: awful, the couple rooms has a fake fireplce as you can see in the picture so loud and anoying that i was offered to move to the lavander room, i got up from the table almost naked and the floor has salt, my poor feet started getting spa service right there! staff is nice and offers you tea right from the begining the lavander room is quiet but so small!!!, i had hard time placing my clothes and purse): the 1st time i went this place maky ended the service almost 10 mins earlier, i complained and was told manager will call, she did and offered me half hour for free, no bad eh! i went back but maky was off so jasmin(the manager) performed the massage, i still prefered maky, i felt it disorganized, it was painful tho i told her so she would continue applying the same pressure))):

Surprised at the bad reviews here considering I have been accused by some sore spa business owner for having high standards. I do have high standards and I thought my experience here was decent, considering the no frills set up. Came in for an organic facial — the lady helping me was nice, skilled(good extraction effort) and overall I left with an above average facial for a decent price. I had a wayspa voucher with me and they honored it. Almost forgot to mention that they massaged my head, neck and shoulders during part of the facial — that\s worth a star on it’s own!

My girlfriend is a regular at the lavender day spa and would get RMT, back cleansing, and scrubs. She always raved about what a good job they do compared to other spas shes been to and how you get your moneys worth. So finally I decided to give it a try. We both walked in at approx 6:30 pm, had a short wait as there were only 2 workers. The spa is quite small and is located upstairs. Don’t expect anything lavish. To the front was their desk and the left was two chairs and a table. Then to the left bordered off was a few lazy boy chairs for pedicures etc. I had a chance to enjoy some tea while I waited. They have daily deals posted on their door(back, neck and shoulder massage for $ 65⁄60 min– reg: $ 79) We were greeted and told the first worker we wanted a back cleansing twice(because she barely understood or spoke english). We then had to show her the pamphlet which she looked at for the next 10 secs. Then i believe she left to prepare the room. THe second worker asked us what service we were getting and we also had to repeat ourselves twice and show it to her on the pamphlet. My gf said this never happened before. Anyhow the workers were very polite. The back cleansing started with a massage and I remember thinking to myself this massage is pretty long considering I asked for back cleansing. Plus she’s doing a decent job with the pressure and that it wasn’t just a back rub. «what a good deal» But it just dragged and I finally asked when she was going to do the cleansing and that’s when the worker said it was just aromatherapy and a massage and a hot towel. My gf told them shes had it done many times and this was not the service we had asked for. The worker apologized, told us to get dressed and called the manager. We don’t know the names of the workers because they never introduced themselves, but in the end they told us they are both new and apologized. WHATKINDOFSPASCHEDULESTWONEWPERSONTOWORKATTHESAMETIMEWITHNORESOURCE? We got charged a total of $ 62(discounted price) for the service that we didn’t ask for and they gave us a card to save $ 20 for two persons on our next return for a facial or massage. REALLY? $ 20 for two persons to return? and we got charged? c’mon! My gf hated her massage saying it was below avg. Plus we were both upset because there is no way we would pay for massage when we have RMT coverage from our insurance! arghh!

Shitty. Tis all i can say. For a $ 35 pedicure I at least expect them to clean under my toe nails! Most places you can get both a mani pedi for $ 35!They basically paint your nails for $ 35 bones. The spa itself is a gross tired looking lavender colour. I suppose is to make one feel relaxed(and the name sake) but it is more like waking into my gran’s 1950 bathroom, complete with fake flowers and dollies. Me Ma and I had our pedi’s together but there was no privacy as the work area was 3 dirty looking old lazy-boy recliners side by side. When we were there, there was young boy gettin his nails did… clearly not his choice to do so… beside us. He felt SUPER uncomfortable as did I. They advertise that their polishes are«non-toxic, non-yellowing formula nail polish for manicures and pedicures,(free of DBP, Toluene Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin». WHATEVA that does for ya… what it did for my Mom was made it near impossible to remove the paint on her toes. She literally tried for a month straight to remove it, and had to wait for her nail to grow out the polish! So to sum up, the place is tacky, the do a half ass job and the nail polish is difficult to remove. Tis shitty.

Really clean place and great customer service. I needed a RMT and they took my information and gave me a call back within 5 mins to confirm the appointment for that day. They are really friendly when you come in and give you tea before your massage. The massage itself was wonderful and relaxing. It’s my 2nd time there and I will continue to keep going!
