It was so disappointing here, looking at the place you would think it is a high end chocolate shop but it could not of been further. The chocolates where bland and tasteless but with a not so nice price tag. The girl who served me was more interested in gossiping with a friend than being polite to her customers, sadly I will not be returning.

If you enjoyed Laura Secord as a kid in the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s… stay away! This is NOT the chocolate I grew up with. French Crisp is not the crispy crunchy almond brittle it used to be, its like fudge and not very tasty! The Superior(chocolate buttercream with cashews and raisins) tasted like soap! The chocolate quality is poor. What happened? Yuck!

I pick up items here for friends when I travel overseas to Asia for those who have lived here and who love and miss Laura’s. Personally-speaking, this is not my most favourite chocolate in the world except for their French Mint(melt in your mouth). Their Canadian traditional gifts(i.e. maple leaf chocolate, etc.) are nice to take overseas for friends and family when you’re travelling. The ice cream counter is spotless and very busy(always a good sign). What really makes this place four star worthy is the customer service here. Very polite and courteous counter staff.

Located inside Yonge/Eglinton centre, this is the ONLY place to satisfy your ice cream cravings in the area. It’s around $ 3.99 for a scoop, and just 99 cents extra for the second scoop! They also place a complimentary piece of chocolate on top! They have around 3 flavours that are gluten-free, so those who’re allergic to gluten have a few choices to pick from. My favourite is the Pistachio flavor — there are actual pieces of pistachio in the ice cream! The French mint is also delicious!
