Worst staff on floor. I asked 2 different people to help find a toilet seat. Too lazy to walk. They just pointed in the general direction. This is why i shop online. Avoid this location unless absolutely necessary

This Toys R Us is probably the one with the least amount of stock out of all of the ones in the GTA. They rarely fill their shelves up and restock can take weeks upon months. Compared to the Dufferin and Victoria Park locations this one is the most bare. The employees however at this location are much more friendly. They don’t mind helping out and even checking the back for more stock. Cashing out at this location is also a breeze. They actually have cashiers on duty and they aren’t huddled at customer service chatting it up with each other. Although there’s no parking and it’s out of the way, I enjoy coming to this TRU location.

I just got off the phone with an ONTARIOCONSUMERAFFAIRS representative and I have to be honest, I was not satisfied with the response. Mind you, she didn’t say that TOYS R US was in the right. She just confided to not knowing the answer. She pointed out that neither she nor her colleagues were lawyers and I might have found myself in a grey area. I know this, however, no big-chain store should have the right to sell gift-cards and e-shop cards if it refuses a simple exchange for an unredeemed card, ESPECIALLY if no warning is labelled on the receipt. I was never trying to con anyone; this unfriendly practise is simply outrageously unfair to the consumer. I, for one, will never purchase anything at TOYS R US, gift card or no.

Why are these stores always a mess? For the largest toy retailer I would expect more. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Toys R Us that has been clean and organized and this one is no different. They’re competitive on most things, but if you comparison shop a little you may find the same thing cheaper at Walmart. It’s highly dependent on the sales going on at the two stores but worth checking out if you have the time. Video games on the other hand, you shouldn’t bother here. They’re usually a couple bucks higher on most games. Go to best Buy.

Toys R Us certainly doesn’t generate the same type of excitement it did when I was a wee bairn but I can’t help but get a little giddy when I first enter. This store has done a good job of keeping things fairly level for older and younger children. Some of the Toys R Us’ I’ve been to seem to stack the deck in one age group leaving kids outside that range s.o.l. The deals they have on video games is on par with or better than a number of other stores so I’ve been shopping here more often and using my niece as an excuse to go. P. S. I’m sneaky. Not really, but you get the idea.
