Great little bakery with sandwiches, espressos, pastries, meats and cheeses. Feels like walking into the late 80’s, love the nostalgia.

Absolutely amazing place! I’ve been coming here with my family since I was a little girl. As soon as you walk in, the scent of freshly baked bread hits you. Just by walking around, you can tell that this place is 100% authentic Italian. The desserts are honestly mouthwatering. Try the cannolis. I’ve tasted cannolis at other bakeries, tried to make homemade cannolis, and even tasted different kinds of cannolis in Italy. The ones from LaRose are definitely the best. I can say that about all the desserts there. At the back of the bakery there’s a large variety of different kinds of breads. Buns, loaves, baguettes, etc. They’re made fresh every day. Right across from the variety of coffee beans, theres many different kinds of olives. They also sell different kinds of products that are imported from Italy(the cookies are the best). If you are ever in the west end, check this place out, you definitely won’t regret it.

When your clientele makes excuses to drive to the west end for your chicken fingers, when your pizza dough is gone by noon every Friday then you know La Rose is go to for everything their known for. Their veal sandwich is not California’s but it’s good value. Check it out!

Great place to get sliced meats and cheese. The cannoli’s are really great too. They have freshly baked bread, desserts, and a hot table.

La Rose is the best place to go for Italian cheeses and meats. Always really great quality and also lots of good sauces, pastas and also hot food to go. Try a veal sandwich to go and pick up pizza dough and stuff for pizza for dinner. Desserts are good too;)

There used to be a lot of independent Italian supermarkets in Etobicoke, but they all seem to have migrated up to Woodbridge or elsewhere. Larose Bakery is one of the few places left — they have a good(but quite expensive) selection of cheeses, pastas, antipasti, and of course, baked goods. Their breads are good and really fresh, however, their fresh desserts leave a bit to be desired — if I use the cannoli as a benchmark — it does not taste too authentic. I was expecting more from them! This is more a place if you need a good loaf of bread, or have an Italian cooking emergency and need to find something really fast(i.e. orrechiette pasta or marscapone cheese) Otherwise, you might even be better off heading to a Fortino’s.
