History
Established in 2004.
Knot Just Dreads began as a sole proprietorship. It has always been a private hair studio offering haircuts and colour but primarily focusing on dreadlocks and extensions for all hair textures.
In 2006, the company turned into a partnership welcoming fellow dread specialist Krista Pettipas.
Knot Just Dreads now has two Locations, Karen is located at Bathurst and Richmond, and Krista is located at 163 Sterling rd. Same business, two fabulous locations to serve you better!

Business Owner
A certified stylist for thirteen years, Krista hails from the Maritimes and brings a unique charm and friendly demeanor. Though her roots are back East, Krista has been working in Toronto for ten years. Highly versatile and intuitive, her specialty is dreadlocks and dread extensions however she can do it all, cuts, colours and extensions!
A highly skilled, expert loctitian, Krista has clients from Toronto, Vietnam, China, Virginia and around the world!
Krista was one of two very first instructors for the Knotty Boy Dread class, and one of the first dreadlock experts in Canada. Some say all of North America.
Krista’s salon is cozy and private with a colourful and inspiring décor and, like a true Maritimer, she will make you feel at home!
