This gallery and collective recently opened, and I visited it for a friends performance art piece. The collective states on its facebook, «dedicated to fostering a distinctively Torontonian alternative culture through art, design, music, media, and events.» It is actually quite a beautiful space. A massive loft that is turned art gallery, and it seems the only unit in the building with a patio, a pretty massive patio. Although, it is a bit of a maze, walking down a side alley, and several twisty stairs inside [a bit of a fun adventure], it is a fairly decent venue for a show, granted it is in a very dead neighbourhood. You have to travel north to Bloordale, or south to find anything commercial. On the night I was there, Beer was $ 4, fairly reasonable for a gallery, granted it was Steam Whistle, which isn’t my favourite. I’d certainly go back for other shows. 1. Highly recommend as a venue for anything to do with art or otherwise.
