As the four stars indicate, «Yay! I’m a fan!» I fell in lust with tonkotsu ramen on the streets of Fukuoka and I’ve been searching to satisfy my need for a decent bowl ever since. iNoodle’s tonkotsu ramen is the best I’ve had in Toronto so far. Actually, it’s the only place that specifically offers the rich, nutty pork bone broth I’ve been seeking. My big bowl of tonkotsu was loaded up in true ramen-ya style($ 8.95). Three slices of pork, green onions, sesame seeds, corn, ginger, bean sprouts, wakame, nori, half a boiled egg and even a little slice of natuto were arranged atop the fresh, properly cooked noodles. The one thing that would have improved the dish would be tastier pork slices. This broth should be complimented by a proper chashyu, well roasted and falling apart with flavour. Besides tonkotsu, other dishes on offer at iNoodle are shio, shoyu, miso and karashi negi ramen, plus some other Japanese basics like yaki soba and tonkatsu. If you have an even bigger appetite than me, go for a combo to add BBQ ribs, tonkatsu, gyoza or maki sushi to your ramen order.
