I’ve been a customer for about ten months and satisfied with the haircuts given, up till now. This last one on May 14 is somewhat of a disaster. Uneven on the top, shaved extremely short on the sides, along with a sharply contrasting Mohawk ridge like style running a narrow corridor along the top down to the back. Mohoawk was the last thing I wanted. I asked for my hair to be tapered, but that’s what I was given instead. This was likely my last time there. Feedback exoressed a toxic combination of disappointment, shock, and negativity. I was not surprised.

If you need a stylish cut, do not go here.
I keep my hair a little longer than the average men’s cut and went in to get it a bit shortened as it was getting a bit too long. My longer hair style turned into almost a buzzcut from the woman working there who seemed to have ignored my comments and direction for the haircut. While she seemed to understand what had to be done, she never did the layering she said I needed and I wound up with the shortest hair I’ve had in a long time.
If you need a plain, simple, and cheap men’s haircut, maybe this is the place for you. If your haircut needs more than the trimmers, go somewhere else.

great lil barber shop and hair salon. Best taper cut on bloor west! If you want an awesome fade, call ahead and ask for Pat. you won’t be disappointed. quick and friendly service with great family atmosphere.

Guy’s is a great little place. I read about it on here and wandered over to give it a try. The shop is a little cramped but the service is amazing and super friendly. As soon as they found out I was a first timer, there were hand shakes and introductions all around.
I will definitely be heading back regularly. As with anything good, though, you have to pick your times since it does get crowded pretty quickly.

Guy’s is a charming hole-in-the-wall barber shop/hair salon (it seems to be going, aesthetically, for something between the two). It’s easy to miss, sitting a few storefronts off Bloor, but there’s usually a little folding sign sitting at the corner of Bloor and Durie pointing the way during business hours. It’s got a nice stained-glass window sign, which is a welcome surprise.
There are kids’ cuts for $ 10, and student cuts for $ 13; even an adult (men’s) cut goes for under $ 20, and that includes a wash, so the value is certainly there, as well as the quality.
