I went here to shop for a suit. I later went all over Yorkville to suit shop and didn’t find a suit I really love and fits me well, except for a $ 2,300 Prada suit a salesperson at Holt Renfrew Men picked out for me – it was beautiful but I can’t justify spending that much on something I will occasionally wear.
So I went back to Gotstyle to get a very nice Pal Zileri suit I tried on earlier to get it fitted. They had some great sales so I picked up a second suit for half price which was too good to pass. They carry a nice range of quality made and designed clothing, from casual to formal to fun and funky. All their staff their are very experienced and knowledgeable in fashion and styling and have a great eye — they will know how to dress you for anything. The staff there are always very friendly, helpful and down to earth. There is no absolutely no attitude or pretentiousness at all, no matter you are buying just a pair of socks or getting a custom tailored suit made (which they also do there, which is done by their very dapper in-​house tailor extraordinaire).
The time went by so fast there while I was trying about five different suits multiple times and getting the two I wanted fitted, I didn’t know the store had already closed. The staff kept the store open for me and another customer which was really nice of them and I wasn’t hurried at all.
I got the suit back from being altered in a very reasonable amount of time, and they look just perfect and can’t wait to wear it.
I don’t particularly like shopping for clothes, but this is my can’t go wrong go-​to place for clothes.

the selection at Gotstyle «suited» my needs perfectly. nice to see the store support labels with an edge… hit the mall if you want to look like everyone else. Nicole was amazing… i couldn’t ask for more personally «tailored» service.

I went there to get a suit, i felt the people that work there are so friendly and not pushy at all. THE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, they are young and know the latest trends unlike other places (TOM’s Place). the prices are fair and they suits look awesome once you wear them.
The best part is that when you buy the suit the tailoring is included so you do not pay extra, unlike some places where the tailoring can cost almost $ 200.

A great store with huge selection of quality brands — both casual and formal. It is a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for.
I purchased a pair of extremely comfortable J Brand jeans from Eli. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, gave me some great info and alterations were included.
Definitely recommend if you’re in the market for high quality menswear.

O.K. So that’s the good thing — the clothing is great. It is. There is nothing wrong with it. When you walk in, you’ll probably feel comfortable. There are suits of armour on the wall. It’s fantastic.
I’m not one for hip, and with it, clothing stores — but, I tell you, I kind of wanted to after walking into this location. Although, I’m not sure I’ll ever understand the allure of a $ 60.00 trucker hat.
Now, that’s where the good ends. My story may not be typical. It hinges on two factors — I’m a big guy, and I don’t like being lied to. If you’re there to just pick something up off the shelves, then — by all means — get your gear, buy it, and love it.
My tale begins as my friend’s wedding approached. I was to be one of his Groom’s men. I needed a vest. A lovely vest that can only be purchased at GotStyle. I didn’t even mind the $ 150.00 price tag, because it was a beautiful vest. There was nothing not to love about it.
My friend had left our sizes with the good people of GotStyle, and I called ahead, and said I’d be coming to check it out. The wedding was 4 weeks away.
I took the bus down to the store, and when I got in, I told the girl I’d e-​mailed that I was here for the vest. She smiled, nodded, and then kept me waiting 10 minutes while she chatted it up with some guy at the front who, apparently, shops there often. They talked about their clothing addictions. I appreciate that. You need to strive off of return customers when you sell $ 120.00 t-​shirts. But, as a new — potential — customer, this was not ideal.
As for the ten minutes — that’s accurate. I time stamped the event. It was probably more like 11:37 but who’s counting?
The vest comes. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit me. It’s too small, by an inch. This is not ideal. A vest needs to be done up — especially for $ 150.00. I cried inside a little, but she said — «Don’t worry! We can get a bigger one!» I was elated! I went home, and thought nothing of it.
One week passes. I e-​mail, wondering about the vest. Nothing.
Two weeks pass. (The wedding is now 2 weeks away.)
I am told that there is nothing they can do. They can not get a vest that will fit me.
Now let me tell you something about tailors — tailors can make vests. Tailors can get them done, in a similar style. In fact I was quoted that I could get the same vest, cheaper, if I needed it by… TWO DAYS AFTER THE WEDDING.
This was not ideal. The next week and a half of my life was spent in a frantic hell trying to find a matching vest, that I could wear, to not stand out. I tried 8 places, 2 countries, and discovered all number of places in Toronto.
Had GotStyle been up front on the day I went in, none of this would have been an issue. I would have got a vest made from a different place, but they strung me along for 2 weeks saying it would be no problem, until the finally left me in a terrible place. And they knew when the wedding would be.
Long story shorter, I ended up getting a similar (too small) vest at another store. The rain was pouring that day. I remember it well, as it was near the end of the vest-​adventure. Three days to the wedding. The groom found some fabric that matched the vest. Two days to the wedding. The night before — THE NIGHT BEFORE the wedding, my girlfriend’s mom was able to tear the vest apart, that was too small, sew in the fabric, and create a passable copy.
It was a good adventure, when it finally ended in success — but it was terrible, stressful, and awful up until that moment.
And all of it could have been avoided if I wasn’t lied to by the staff at GotStyle.
So — you make your own decisions. Maybe you fit, «off the rack,» clothes, and have the money. If so — head there. If customer service is an issue for you? Maybe this isn’t the place.
This is just my story. It seems other people love it. And — remember — I, too, really wanted to love this place, as well.

I’ve been shopping here since they were in their old location. The new location has definitely ushered in a new atmosphere. I never used to feel rushed or ignored, but these are my two most common experiences now. That being said, if you happen to be shopping and Melissa is around, she’ll always take her time to help you out and is quite a huge help. I don’t bother sticking around for very long unless she’s around. I usually dress casually in a t-​shirt and jeans when I’m out shopping to make it easy to try stuff on, and while Melissa is always cool, I get the feeling that other employees assume I’m lost.
As far as the fashion itself goes, they still carry some really nice stuff, but they run out of sizes quickly. I also feel like they’re moving away from classic staples and more towards flash. Sorry, but no matter how sweet a plaid shirt is, I’m not wearing it if it has a gold dragon on the shoulder.
On the other hand their suits are always excellent and actually a really good value considering the quality.
tldr: +3 for their suits and key pieces like ties and socks. –2 for the decreased quality of service lately, especially compared to other shops in Toronto like Sydney’s (my current favourite).

Had a great experience here tonight. Went in to buy myself a nice all-​purpose suit and had great service from the staff, including Melissa, the owner. Tried on three or four styles and settled on a snazzy charcoal suit. Great overall experience, would definitely go back.

Went in to get a new suit and shirt. Staff was amazing and understood fashion and what fits together. They listened to what I wanted and spent there time getting the proper fit for me. Plus the female staff there are gorgeous. Will definitely be back

I went in initially to pick up a suit. I found the first person I interacted with to be a bit snobby (I was dressed casually that day in jeans and a t-​shirt). However, Max took care of me later and he was absolutely amazing. He was extremely patient and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Since then, I’ve ended up buying 3 more suits, 2 dress pants, and 5 of the private Gotstyle label dress shirts from him. Ask for him and you will have a great experience!
I found that the store had a very impressive, handpicked selection of off-​the-​rack suits (have yet to buy a bespoke suit from here). There’s also a very impressive, exclusive collection of dress and casual shirts, shoes, accessories, shorts, jeans, etc. The store is pretty small but you can tell they’ve put thought into everything they’ve sourced.
Overall, Gotstyle is a great store and one of my go to places now. For work clothes I prefer it over hugo boss, banana republic etc where I used to shop. Price wise, they work with you and suits can range from $ 900 to double or more. Dress shirts are about $ 120 – 150. Quality is very impressive. I would highly recommend this store!

Desperately needed to find an outfit for an event on a Saturday night, and this was the last bastion of hope on the West side (having already tried Queen West). If Gotstyle failed, then it would have to be the Eaton Centre. Fortunately, Gotstyle came through in a major way.
I was able to pick two shirts, a pair of jeans, a belt, and a pair of shoes — all for the price of ipad, give or take. Not exactly cheap, but quality stuff that I was proud to wear. I’ll definitely go back when I have the urge to treat myself to something nice.

Large selection of really nice men’s stuff. Not as stiff or traditional as Harry Rosen, but you’ll spend about the same on a dress shirt ($ 120-​$ 200). Their private label is nice, but they also carry brands like Ted Baker, SAND, John Varvatos, and Moosknuckle coats.
They have casual clothing right up to smart suiting. Service is great, and the staff is very knowledgeable.
You can also get a shave and a haircut for two bits (haha, kidding). But really, they have a couple vintage barber chairs for spa services, and it looks completely inviting.

In our quest for cool, hip men’s clothes, we went upstairs to check out Gotstyle. Too cool for most– this place oozes hip. There is a shaving station in the back. Custom shirts, Ted Baker and other cool styles. Head on up!
