I just finished my blow dry for my Christmas party at Fiorio with Christine. What a disaster! Crumpled, frizzy. I asked for something so simple, volume with a wave and what I got are chunks of crumpled hair. I kept telling her what to do and I was obviously unhappy to which she said I’m just not used to it?! By the time I was checking out I was literally sobbing. No one offered to fix it or no charge. This is for my Christmas party in 2 hours… I have no time to fix this, so $ 40 later I will be wearing my hair up. never again, stay away from this place.

Honestly worst possible experience in management! The hairstylist was good and did her job as she was guided by Mark(the manager who is Mr. Fioros’ Son). I went in with nice freshly trimmed hair to get ombré the hairstylist called the manager over for consultation at which I showed them a picture and he said it would really damage my hair so we came to the conclusion to do a shade darker. He even showed me a pic of how it would look! My hair color was not changed what so ever it was worse because it was just damaged from the bleaching. When I went on to complain about it he just said not to pay and wont deal with my hair anymore! They didn’t even want me back as a customer! He treated us very poorly. He left without an apology and when I told the receptionist thats not how to treat customers I would like to talk to him she advised that he is on a «business phone call» I wish there was a lower rate then 1 star because thats what he deserved!

PROS: What I like most about this salon is that they don’t bother with any airs – most of the staff are pretty down to Earth, not terribly chatty(with me, anyway), don’t try to sell you anything. You can just read your book and be reasonably sure they’ll do a good job. I generally feel I’m in very good hands here; I’m not stressed out when I’m there, as is so often the case at other places. Generally at this salon there’s no out-of-left-field tacky crap that then has to be fixed at another salon(as can happen at many other salons). CONS: Since I usually book at the last minute these days, I really can’t ask for any specific stylist or colorist, so I’ve tried out lots of them at this salon. Most are very good. I did have one major mishap with a senior colorist(he bleached the hell out of my hair despite my indication that I wanted LESS blonde on my damaged hair). Also, another one of the colorists(who I was going to consistently for a very long while) never bothered telling me I didn’t have to have full highlights every single time(also, again, despite my expressing concern about the increasingly fried look) – it wasn’t until I happened to get another colorist that I was told I could just get base(solid) root touch-ups for my slightly grey re-growth several times in a row(instead of highlights every time) to prevent further damage – thanks for letting me know! Made a huge difference!

The staff is both profession and friendly. I’ve been there twice. I work in the downtown financial district so having a decent haircut is important. It cost me $ 30 for a level 1 stylist & $ 35 for a level 2 stylist but they were both very good. After my disastrous experience at Barber’s Chair in Fairview Mall, I am going back to Fiorio. Thank you for reading my review.

Just had a haircut with Halsey and FINALLY I found a stylist who knows what to do with my hair! It was exactly what I’ve been looking for about 2 years now and although it was a bit pricey($ 50) It was definitely worth it. Halsey’s a down to earth guy, adds in humour to his work and gets it done fast, exactly what I was looking for! This Fiorio looks really nice too with the 3 floors and all, I’m pretty impressed. I was in and out pretty fast and got exactly what I wanted including the service Fiorio is known for.
