History
Established in 2009.
Fat Louie’s BBQ was designed for Festival service. It was originally operated in Alberta but found its way to Ontario in search of greener pastures. Somehow those pastures ended up being a Rona Parking lot. The business has developed a reputation in the Stockyards for its high quality BBQ despite its strange location. Fat Louie’s BBQ is hard to find but worth looking for!
Meet the Manager
David B.
Manager
David (aka «Sweetcheeks») finished University in 2012 with a load of debt and a little cooking experience. He started working at FLB the following summer with no idea of how to BBQ. Fat Louie only left him with one piece of advice: «put the meat in the smoker and keep it around 250.» It took a year of smoking (and a lot of research) to hone in on the recipes used at Fat Louie’s today.
