Dufferin-Queen Animal Hospital

My cat has been a patient here since 2006 and I cannot recommend Dr. Thind or the rest of the caring staff any more higher. He has been well looked after whenever I have brought him in for routine procedures as well as a medical emergency earlier this year involving his urinary tract. I have felt at ease and very comfortable with my decision to continue to have my cat being a patient of this hospital and we won’t go anywhere else. Thanks Dufferin-​Queen for your expertise and professionalism and nurturing attitudes!

I had my dog crack a nail very deep so I rushed there and was greeted by amazing and caring staff who helped get my little guy bandaged up. Priced accordingly and fair… would recommend if you have to visit a vet.

This isn’t the fanciest of vets but the staff are really helpful and very sweet with the animals. Dr. Thind has a calming disposition and makes me and my dog feel at ease when we are there. She also goes out of her way to avoid piling on the costs, preferring to wait and see where appropriate. We have been to see her after an unknown illness/​injury as well as an infection and he has bounced back within a couple of weeks. I highly recommend this animal hospital for your pets!

Dr. Thind is very caring and so are the nurses. We took our cat here a couple of times and they always provide us with the most practical recommendations. Believe it or not, their rates are not as high in comparison to other clinics.
They have cats there in the clinic too (Buster and Runner) who are so sweet and friendly.
The service is always EXCEPTIONAL and I am always happy how they care of my kitty.
I highly recommend this clinic and the establishment is always clean.

Dr Thind is great. She has a very nice disposition with my animals. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. The best thing about this clinic is they have always accommodate my last minute requests to come in the same day and they always call to follow up the next day which is very rare for Vet clinics these days. That is EXCEPTIONAL in my books. I really feel comfortable coming here and so do my dogs.

Always great service from both the doctors and nurses, very understanding and patient, and they have an excellent bedside manner.
We don’t go anywhere else!

I was really disappointed and felt ripped off after visiting this clinic. After a quick look at my cat’s chin, diagnosed her with cat acne and suggested a steroid injection.
No other options were entertained… no topical solutions. Considering that a cat can possibly get diabetes after this type of injection, other avenues should have been exhausted.
Plus, she didn’t even offer to clean her chin… literally paid almost $ 70 for a quick look.
And the kicker… she suggested my cat had the beginnings of gingivitis and should get her teeth clean even though she had them cleaned at the shelter a month ago!
If you love your cat, I suggest taking your furry friend elsewhere.

We just took our newly adopted cat, who had never seen a vet in his first two years, to Queen Dufferin Animal Clinic. Both the vet and vet tech were very friendly and caring… both to us and the cat as well as to the other clients that came in and out.
This small clinic has a very laid back and functional vibe… if you’re an overly doting pet guardian who wants a pristine and contemporary space that seems more suited to affluent guardians than the cat itself, then this is not the place for you. However, if you’re like me and really care for your pet but realize that it is, after all a cat, and just wants friendly and competent treatment in a basic but clean space, then place is perfect. Moreover, the simplicity shows up in their prices, which are substantially lower than those closer to downtown core (we called around).

I am so glad for this hospital — there is another one near by — but it’s not close enough. AND walking or riding the snail rocket with a meowing 3 month kitty is the longest and most heartwrenching 5 minutes of your day; and wherever the other clinic was, it was not close enough.
But I am a fan for 2 reasons; the staff is super friendly — on the phone and in person. I have been to clinics where I didn’t see a single animal out. There are 4 GORGEOUS cats roaming and sleeping everywhere here. There is a tiny animal care center at the back for little ones needing some extra TLC. They give your pet lovin’ and treats and toys too. They answered my endless questions and explained everything with patience which I appreciate.
HOWEVER, the MAIN REASON remains the fact that it is open from Monday to SATURDAY 11am to 7PM — so I don’t have to just rely on Saturdays to take my little monkey to the clinic — it can be done on a weekday after work. This is a big relief in case of emergencies — that I have the option to take her near by and get her the care she needs.
AND she loves the cat tunnel thingie they gave her

I took my cat Mr. Robinson to Dufferin Animal Clinic on Queen St. W for his annual check up, and his shots. I called to arrange the appointment, and the reception was warm and cheerful. I also spoke to the veterinary assistant about some issues I had with my cat, and the random matting of his fur. She took her time to listen, gathered information about the issue by asking quality questions, and made suggestions that have all worked. I also mentioned that I would like to get him in for his annual check up and shots, she was able to schedule an appointment the same day!
When we went into the Animal Clinic the first thing I noticed is they have 5 friendly cats who live there!!! These cats were all really nice, and greeted Mr. Robinson very nicely. It was also very clean, and smelled very clean, which matters to me.
Buster, the one super friendly Blue Russian Short Hair Cat is Mr. Robinson’s new cat gang member/​home slice, and I think they will be hanging out on future visits!!!
The Doctor was a lovely woman who really liked my cat and inspected him thoroughly. She helped keep him calm, and offered suggestions of things that we could do to improve Robinson’s dental health. You could tell she loved LOVED animals so MUCH! Mr. Robinson was extremely fond of her as well!
She gave him his shots, and he barely even struggled. They weighed him, checked his temperature (rectal) and checked his paws and teeth. The doctor was gentle, reasonable and asked many questions about his habits, if he goes outside, I liked it there.
This is the best animal clinic I have been to so far…:)
I encourage people to bring their pets, and of course get your pets vaccinated! total appointment price… exam and vaccines and record registration $ 75.00 + Tax. AMAZING!
