Dr. Barry Collis & Associates

As a child, teenager, and young adult, I was always very nervous about going to the dentist. I actually avoided going in my early 20’s. Unfortunately, I had a bad tooth ache and had to see someone on an emergency basis. My boyfriend at the time, suggested Dr. Collis as he was his dentist. Not only was he able to help me with my urgent problem, but he was able to relax me and fix the problem with much less pain then I would have thought. After he became my dentist, and after a couple of visits, his gentle disposition and sense of humour were instrumental in helping me get over my fear of going to the dentist.
Twenty-​five years later (yes 25 years!!), Dr. Collis has treated my entire family. My 3 children have known Dr. Collis since the first time they sat in a dentist chair. My twins are now 21 and my youngest is 16 years old. They have never feared the dentist and always looked forward to seeing him as he was kind, gentle, and of course always had a prize in his treasure chest when they were finished.
I have referred many friends to Dr. Collis and they have been very happy with his work, his comforting disposition as well as the warmth of his staff. They are friendly, professional and make everyone feel important. Dr. Collis’s office manager/​receptionist Marilyn has been there for as long as I have (or longer) and has watched my children grow up.
I am writing this as I feel it is very rare these days to find such a high level of care, combined with sincere warmth, and friendliness when dealing with medical professionals. This is a good one!

This was the most pleasant dental experience I have ever had. I spent some time looking for a new dentist and was recommended to him through someone I know. Not only did the person who recommended me receive a thank you card from the office but I also received a ‘welcome’ card — these small things speak volumes about the way a practice is run.
I recently went through the process of cosmetic dentistry which consisted of a number of visits. Every time I arrived I was greeted with Marilyn’s (the receptionist) happy face and dealt with the Dimitra, one of the dental assistants, who was always so helpful, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Collis is extremely skilled, knowledgeable and friendly and truly makes you feel at ease. He went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with my results and did everything he would to make sure I was comfortable through the entire process, explaining things in detail every time.
I also have to say, not having gone through much dental work before, I was terrified of being frozen and the 4 times Dr. Collis had to freeze me, I never felt a pinch, I was truly amazed!
I have recommended Dr. Collis to my entire family and many friends and will continue to do so for as long as he is practicing.
This is a truly professional, experienced, welcoming dental practice and most definitely deserves all of the fantastic reviews that they are receiving!
