4.5* I loved this place! I just evicted my dying Crispy Wave fern ’cause it was depressing me, so after seeing their stuff on IG, then on FB, I knew that I had to stop into this store to get my planter done! At first, I thought that it would be difficult to locate as their website states«rear entrance» on some other street, but you CANNOT miss this place. It’s painted a moss green, so it’s easy to find. Store itself smelt and felt soo FRESH. The only thing that I wished they had were some prices to give you an idea as to how much certain plants were. A price range is fine as well, but I saw many customers asking for various plants. Adam, I had to Google his pic, greeted me right away as he saw me holding my planter. I told him what I was looking for and gave him creative reign on selecting various succulents and I love the results! I took a photo, but it’s not a very good one, but it’s already brighten up my space!

I usually only write reviews for restaurants on Unilocal, but I am making an exception for crown flora! Crown Flora is unquestionably my favourite shop in the city. Adam and Davis are amazing people and their creations– from terrariums to bags and everything in between are beautiful, unique, and of amazing quality. They have an extensive variety of succulents, air plants, and cacti, as well as hanging planters and ready made terrariums. I also hear there will be a permanent floral section soon as well. If you’re looking for anything flora related– this is the place to go. Their terrariums come in many unique forms– in handblown glass pieces made specifically for them, antique cans, geometric pots, etc. So there really is something for everyones taste. My personal favourites are the succulents and cacti planted in old birch logs. They also sell everything you need to make terrariums of your own, and will happily offer advice. When it comes to the textile aspect of the shop, there are some really great bags. I use mine everyday and am constantly getting compliments and people asking me where I got it. I’ve found it to be exceptionally durable as well and I am REALLY hard on my stuff. They also sell different unique pots, pillows, and even crotched rocks made by –http://www.resurrectionfern.typepad.com/. There really is a wonderfully eclectic assortment of things. There new location is big and beautiful and I encourage anyone reading this to go check it out. Or even do a workshop there– I have done a terrarium one, and a flower crown one and I found them both to be well worth my time and money! As a bonus there are usually 2 very adorable dogs running around the shop who love attention. (I’m a bit worried Unilocal will remove my review cause I’m so complimentary :/— I swear Unilocal they’re really just this great!)

YAY. I’m so glad Crown Flora finally has a shop. Now I no longer need to creepily linger around their table staring lustily at plants whenever they’re at a show. The studio is gorgeous inside and overflowing with beautiful odds and ends, including lovely handmade bags and various housewares. Most of their terrariums run between $ 30-$ 100, and they come with a 2 month warranty in case one of the plants dies on ya. Plus, Adam and Davis are some of the nicest people ever and will gladly talk plants or purses with you anytime. They also offer terrarium workshops where you can learn all about the plants and make your own terrarium! Ch-ch-check it out. Terrariums make great gifts.

Finally got a chance to go in here today after seeing all the adorable terrariums and whatnot outside! Everything inside is equally adorable. They have a pretty wide selection of succulents, cacti, air plants and even lithops(living stones)! All the plant materials are reasonably and fairly priced. The personnel, who I believe were the owners, were friendly, attentive, and polite. There were also other examples of their work e.g. centerpieces around the shop. I can’t rate the non-plant items as I didn’t really look at them, but there are bags and purses or something.
