It is a nice park to come and walk around in summer(if there are no dogs at that time). The location is great, very close to Harbor and other parks. My only complaint is that there are way too many dogs running around not being on leash(even though there are signs posted everywhere«Keep your dog on leash»). So this is the reason why I prefer other parks and I don’t think it’s a good park for kids.

This park is the worst for children. The splash pad is one of those stupid button pressing ones with intermittent sprays of water. And the sprays of water are very, very, very intermittent. Basically it’s a two minute run from spray to spray if you are a five-year-old kid! You cant have a baby there or it’s it’s in the baking sun waiting for water and crying. It’s horribly taken care of, there are bushes overgrown everywhere. I don’t think anybody is taking care of the splash pad at all. There’s a random canoe up a long hill that is not worth the walk up to. This is a perfect example of why city place is so dumb. No swings, a horrible splash pad, and an open field for single people to play sports in. This is why I hate living here with kids.

Canoe Landing is a great meeting spot for people living at CityPlace because one cannot miss the big red canoe on top of the hill. They have a splash pad for kids and many benches throughout the park. It’s a convenient place for dog walking with plenty of grassy area and literally steps from all the condos located in «condo city». I have often run past Canoe Landing during my many runs, but lately I’ve been coming here for free yoga every Sunday mornings at 10am with Tribe Fitness. I love practicing yoga outdoors because it’s absolutely amazing, plus I feel zen with nature and enjoy the sunshine. Looking up to the sky is so much more pleasant and enjoyable than looking up to the ceiling of any building no matter how nice the yoga studio may be. Being outdoors, there’s plenty of space on the grass, a nice breeze blowing every now and then, great view of the CN Tower and the condo skyline, plus it makes being in condo city not so bad and actually peaceful. Thankfully dog walkers in CityPlace/condo city follow the stoop and scoop bylaw and I have never encountered any dog poop yet while I laid out my yoga mat.

one of my first reviews for parks a really amazing park, very open and lots of cool things to look at. the terry fox tribute is very nice, as well as the«running mile» my only complaints would be that there is a significant amount of dog messes and used refuse bags, scattered throughout the park. very awesome to see the soccer field and have a great vantage point of everything from the hill

I played soccer on the artificial turf last summer until uoft front campus was open again. It’s a nice park in a concrete jungle. Good for having a picnic, walking your dog or just enjoying the sunshine. There are benches to sit down. But that’s pretty much it. The water fountain did not work. So if you plan to go there to do sports, bring enough water. But who knows, maybe it was fixed. There are also no washrooms. The closest one is in the nearby Sobeys 5+ minutes away. Also the flood lights did not work when I was there.

As far as an Urban park goes, I will give this place 4 stars. They have a splash pad for kids, and there are lots of benches to sit on. If you live in CityPlace, this is a great place to relax in the spring, summer, and fall. Bring your favourite beverage, sit down and listen to your apple or android device. Great place to people and dog watch!
