We are located in the heart of King Street West, one of the most vibrant and eclectic neighborhoods in the city. The 2400 square foot space is equipped with first class procedure rooms and state of the art equipment. Black Line Studio strives to provide its clients with the best – from highly skilled tattoo artists and piercers to the best quality clothing and jewelry on the market. Since the 2006 opening, Black Line Studio’s vision has been to create a unique, neutral space where everyone who enters feels comfortable and welcome. We strive to move forward through educating and providing an incomparable experience.

History

Established in 2006.

Since opening its doors in June of 2006, Black Line Studio has gained much recognition. In 2008, they won the ARC Award in Outstanding Achievement in a New Retail Concept and more recently, were nominated by NOW Magazine for Best Body Piercing and Best Tattoo Artist (Glen Hartless) for 2013. Based on its achievements thus far, it’s clear that Black Line Studio’s success will continue to grow exponentially.

Business Owner

At the age of 22, Ion opened his first business – one of many ventures the young entrepreneur would go on to pursue. Since then, he has allowed his creativity to be expressed through his various unique business concepts which have included a restaurant, 350 Fahrenheit; a furniture store, Fiber Living; and most recently, the body art boutique that is Black Line Studio. Ion has been featured in The Globe and Mail, National Post and Toronto Star as well as on ETalk Canada, Steven and Chris, Three Takes, ET Canada and MTV LIVE, to name a few. In addition to this, Ion has another passion: film making. He has received an Award of Merit and Honorable Mentions for his work at various film festivals. This multifaceted entrepreneur knows what it takes to achieve success and continues to prove this in everything he does.
