Barks & Bubbles Dog Grooming is a full service grooming facility. We groom dogs of all sizes in either a breed standard or pet clip. We are home based and provide a quite one on one experience for a more relaxing and stress free environment. Daycare for small and medium breed dogs is also available by PuppyLove (doggie daycare at same location) if needing to spend the day with us.

History

Established in 2006.

I started Barks & Bubbles Dog Grooming in 2006 and have been serving the Thornhill and surrounding communities. Having two bichon frisé of my own I understand what a huge part of the family your dog can be. Seeing my own dogs growing up go through the grooming process I could see how a full day out could cause some stress. My goal is to provide a safe and pleasant grooming environment for your dog by providing one on one grooming. What this means is that when your dog arrives they are my only dog/​s. Appointment times can vary between 1 – 2.5 hrs depending on your dogs size/​coat or haircut. I know that every dog is different and behaves differently in the grooming shop than at home. My job is to groom your dog with the minimum amount of stress in the safest, most efficient manner with the most professional results.

Barks and Bubbles Dog Grooming is owned and operated by Kat Bird, a long time avid lover of dogs and cats. She owns a 12 year old Toy Poodle and a 2 year old Bichon Frisé. In 2006 Kat attended and graduated with Honours from Pets Beautiful Grooming Academy. She opened her part-​time home-​based grooming business in January 2007 while still working her other passion: a client care specialist at a local animal hospital. Ultimately her true passion emerged: working as a Professional Pet Stylist and opened full time in March 2015.
