I wouldn’t call this a mall… this is an office building, with PATH and Subway connections, which does offer numerous different retail options. But I would never go to this location simply to go shopping, the retail locations contained within are for convenience purposes. I have done some business in this office… firstly, kudos to the security company that manages this place(there are some different types of folks around with the bus depot close by). Security recently took down a machete carrying man just outside the Dundas and Bay door… took him down without any further issue(featured on the news). As an office space, I think this is a beautiful building to work in. There is a massive open section in the middle, with many offices full open(think of working on a balcony… but a balcony inside, open to mall/concourse below).

A pro about this concourse, is it has a LCBO… but having one is also a con because this mall has access to the bus depot. There are way too many times wino’s and drunkards go from the store directly into the washroom just a short few paces from this LCBO. The security office is there as well as street level exit, office tower mail boxes, and courier drop off boxes. Kudo’s for the washroom renovations, it looks and smells clean, but too bad it makes it more comfortable for the wino’s and drunkards to linger. The food court washroom isn’t renovated even though it is larger and further away from the wino’s. An assortment of forty odd shops of which sixteen are food related. The stores only open til 7PM. The restaurants are open later but the mall pretty much dies after 6PM. The Ontario Lottery office is on the street level. This concourse mainly caters to the busy office lunch crowd, and people trying to get into the subway or Eaton Centre from the bus depot. The Asian bakery is decent but pricier than their Chinatown counterparts.

This food court has no WiFi and is behind the times. One star Fail! Also the décor is old and in great need of a make over. The number of food options is limited. The ceiling at the food court is low.

This is the anti-mall of malls in many ways. It has a lot of good things going for it: A Fruit\Mini Market. A Black’s Some knick and knack stores A few restaurants… and a food court… mostly generic and forgettable. A used video game/computer store which if I recall, has good prices A LCBO(!) They also have a walking clinic –which I have used in the past a few times as they open late but do bring your phone fully charged, a tent and a spear since you will probably run out of juice and will have to hunt for food before you get called in. This mall is always semi-empty of shopper and customers except for the LCBO and Pickle Barrel. Most of the time you will think most people use this mall by four types of people. * Locals who live on the nearby condos across the street(s) * Office folk who work above the mall * People using is as an indoor crossway to and from the TTC and the Bus Terminal * Twilight Zone survivors stuck on a time warp who are unable to leave the premises due to some mystical yet terrifying course Would I come shopping here? Uh… for what? Most likely for the LCBO. Otherwise most people would never even know of the existence of this place… but it makes for a great indoor walkway to Bay.
