History

Established in 2011.

A former retail manager and lifetime lover of animals, I decided that I wanted to work with animals and leave the retail world behind me. I continue to learn and study animal behaviors and am so happy I’ve made the leap to this new career.

Shannon is a wonderful and extremely trustworthy dog walker. I’m so glad i ran into her a couple of summers ago when we first got our dog — he loves Shannon! I ran into her on a separate occasion with my dog in tow and you can really tell that he has a special bond with her. Shannon really takes joy and pride in what she does. Her communication is fast and reliable, and she is very flexible with walking schedules and key transfers. I would highly recommend A Walk in the Park!

Wow. So lucky to have found Shannon and a walk in the park. We met in the elevator while she was tending to other pets in the building. She is extremely warm and went out of her way to make my time away from my cat as comfortable as possible. I came home to detailed notes of their time together and a happy cat. She administered medicine and picked up after my fussy boy for a whole week. She is MY SAVIOR. Truly.

After trying several options, my search for a good dog walker/sitter has concluded. My family has been working with Shannon for our two year old dog and she has been amazing. She goes above and beyond with her walking and boarding. She’s developed a bond with our dog which we can see from his excitement every time they meet. From our experience, this is the first time we’re able to travel and have peace of mind unlike when we’ve used a kennel for boarding. Shannon keeps in touch with us with great updates and pictures. Simply an amazing service I would recommend to anybody in the downtown area.
