No reception at all. used to be with rogers. Switched over to wind cause they were a little cheaper. that was a big mistake. Bought note 4 on a windtab. Every single call i made got cut off. In downtown vancouver most of the time i got no reception. In north vancouver i got no reception or it was in roaming mode. After 2 weeks being on wind i unlocked the phone, bought out my windtab which was an extra 500 bucks and went to virgin mobile. Hopefully it will be better.

Wind Mobile has the shittiest mobile coverage out of any carrier. I made a horrible mistake by switching to wind and will very soon to leaving then. Do not trust their coverage map. It is totally misleading and I guarantee that you will get missed and dropped calls on wind. The customer service will say they will try to ‘diagnose’ and ‘rectify’ the issue and send their agents out to the tower for investigation on any coverage issues you may have, but it is complete bull crap. Oh ya, they also send delayed text messages as well and your internet speed is 10% to that of rival cell phone service providers. Do not use wind unless you only need your phone working 40% of the day. Oh did I mention that I don’t even get reception at home and I live in the central city.

One star for the price, zero stars for service. My friend has not been able to use her phone since she moved 2 months ago. She is not out in the boonies either(King George and 64th) When she is home, the phone either doesn’t work or drops calls. Her personal favourite is when calls go straight to voicemail… and then she can’t get access to her voicemail. Good times! My friend was in hospital for a month because of heart failure brought on by the flu. When she came home, I got involved and wrote to Wind, explaining the situation with her health and I told them she must have service in case of a medical emergency. Clearly they could not care less, she finally bucked up and is paying for a home phone… along with paying wind for service wind is not providing. They keep *saying* they will fix the technical problem, and refund her the money she has paid for service she did not have. Uh-huh, okay… two months later she is still waiting for a ‘fix’. Every time she has called them, they have repeatedly asked her if she is in a basement suite. She is not, but clearly there is an issue with Wind service if you are in a basement suite , and they are aware of it. Scratch that, clearly there is an issue with Wind service, and when they are made aware, they do nothing!

So I switched over to WIND, after the sad 3 years I had with FIDO. I thought I’d give one of the new, unaffiliated with Rogers/Telus/Bell companies a try. It all went south recently. Although I was aware of the different«WIND Zones» and«WIND Away Zones», and set my phone so that it doesn’t work in the Away zone(no extra surprise charges) and the boundaries are near my place and my workplace, turns out they are generous with the area they claim to cover. Thus a lot of the time my phone doesn’t work or the call is dropped. And I don’t live in the boonies, I live near Willowbrook Mall, and work in Walnut Grove. However, recently I had really bad service. Each month I get a «top up» code, you punch it into your phone and get credit for your monthly bill. When I punched in my most recent one, I got a txt back from WIND saying it had been used already, or expired. Since neither had happened, I went back to the store, where they looked at me kind of dumb and said, «Can I try punching the code in?» like I didn’t know how… so they did and surprise, surprise, it didn’t work. So they absolved themselves and wouldn’t deal with it, I had to call WIND customer service. So I waited in store and called, and waited, and waited, and waited… eventually I was told that my account would be credited immediately. So I was happy and I left. The next day, I still don’t have any service. I call WIND to find out, and apparently the person must have just said that to get me off the phone, because not only had it not been credited, but there was no note on my file or anything about it. :(Then the guy I was talking to said it would take a few business days to get it looked after. I was kind of going apoplectic by this time, its my only phone and I need it for work. At that point I started waging Twitter war with them, which seemed to get their attention more than the phone calls. In any event, I had to go buy another month of service before they ended up crediting me. It took some time, and that was after multiple phone calls and Twitter enforcement. They still get 2 stars as I am very happy with the price, but take a look at the experience, and if you are considering them, ask yourself if you would go through the bad calling zones and bad customer service for the cheap price…
