Our Piercers and Tattoo Artists are fully qualified and offer an abundance of information on piercing and tattoo do’s and don’ts. As well as having an extensive jewelry and supplies showroom, Westcoast Piercing and Ink is one of the first companies in Canada to offer a fully licensed and health board approved mobile piercing and tattoo studio. The mobile studio is used to showcase our services at concerts, exhibitions and trade shows while allowing the general public to celebrate their bodies safely while having fun. Business Owner
Kelly’s love for jewellery started in his pre-teens, in the early 80’s with big chains, pewter earrings, spiked bracelets and skull crushing rings. At the time, he never envisioned being engaged in the body piercing industry 15 years later, never mind owning a state of the art piercing and tattoo studio. His interest in piercing arose more out of curiosity and the sex appeal of celebrating your body with extraordinary adornments.
He was one of those caught up the in the boom of piercing, trying to become mainstream, while remaining risqué in the early 90’s.
With the popularity of piercings escalating during the mid 90’s, brought on more cases of infections due to improper aftercare, inappropriate jewellery or poor piercing techniques. There seemed to be more inconsistent information on these three things than any other personal service out there and Kelly wanted to know why. Lets face it, don’t you want to know that anyone working on your body knows what he/she is talking about.
