Southpoint Optometry Clinic

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Jason, (Dr. Ding) was the friendliest, most competent, optometrist I have ever seen. I would highly recommend him and I will be switching over my whole family from another clinic here in South Surrey.

I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts for over 15 years now and go for checkups at Southpoint regularly. Whenever I’m due for a checkup, they perform a set of tests and they’re always done in a very relaxing and comforting environment… which is important because having testing done on your eyes (and sometimes really close) can make you a little anxious.
My family also has a history of poor eye-​sight and eye health which my doctor is aware of, so he always performs additional tests on me aside from the standard set to ensure that there aren’t any signs or changes that can lead to the development of any conditions. It’s pretty much like visiting a personal trainer and having them create a program that’s specifically tailored to you, to give you the results you want and avoid any potential health concerns. Most of the eye conditions in my family don’t have preceding symptoms so having routine tests done that can help detect them early on is really important for me.
And so far, so good!
It’s not often (for me anyways!) to find a clinic where you actually enjoy visiting. I feel like I’m in good hands and genuinely cared about.
And by the looks of these other reviews. I’m not the only one!

My husband and I have been to see Dr. Ding before, but this was our first time at the Southpoint clinic. We’ve had many eye exams before, but none as thorough as with Dr. Ding and he takes the time to explain to you what exactly he’s looking for and gives you helpful and practical advice on how to deal with common ailments. We also took my mother-​in-​law and she was able to finally get her presription right. Highly recommend him to anyone!|

Dr. Ding is an amazing Optometrist! I usually do not visit OD’s that often, but I decided to stop by for a quick contact lens renewal. I’m glad I chose him, because he is without-​a-​doubt the best OD I have visited. He’s extremely approachable and very easy to converse with. He also really knows his stuff! I’m a technology nerd, so he spent the extra time to answer my questions about some of the optical instruments he was using.

Just off the highway, this is a conveniently located optometry clinic in a nice little strip mall. There’s a LensCrafters right beside it too for easy access to glasses/​frames.
More important than the location is the service, and that’s why I’m rating it 5 stars. Dr. Jason Ding was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable in his practice. He took the time to make sure that I understood everything I needed to. I’ll definitely be back here for my next eye exam.
