Took my wife here for dinner for her birthday, Feb 25⁄16. The waitress was great. The prime rib was Not succulent like it should be. Prime rib should melt in your mouth. This was more like an unflavoured piece of meat from a bowl of soup. Very disappointing

On Feb 12th– Friday night– my Son & I get there at 6pm. The hostess says the wait is between 45 – 1 hour. My Son really wants to stay & eat there so we sat & waited. At 7:15pm– we are still sitting & waiting. There are 18 people not including us still waiting. At 7:25pm– I see the owner of «Natalia’s Jewelry» walk in. There are 5 of them. The manager comes & greets them & takes them straight to their table!!! Now… There are no reservations allowed. I guess the Manager thought that this was ok to do since he runs this place. To the manager– we are customers too waiting patiently. I find it completely wrong that you find that to be ok. My son and I finally got seated at 7:30pm.(an hour & half later). Our sweet waitress was very sweet. The problem was my son’s order was completely wrong, & so was mine! Then, I got charged for an appetizer that I did not order. Not very happy about our evening.

Great food and service. A little pricey though. Would recommend heading earlier as they dont take reservations and its always busy. We waited 45 mins for a table but it was worth it!!! Great salads and steaks. Caesar salad is AMAZING! Also great appetizers. Definetly will be back soon.

Always love going to the keg for a special night out. Waiters are always friendly and steak/lobster meal is amazing! I found the steak was a bit undercooked for my liking last time I was there but still delious!

As always, the Keg is a nice spot for a nice but not over the top date night. The food and service is always consistent. The restaurant always tends to be a tad on the loud side but that just mans you can get closer to your date. The ribs were fall off the bone and delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. I don’t know what it is about the Keg but they always manage to make the perfect baked potato. I am already planning another visit for this Friday!

Unfortunately this chain has started refusing reservations. This is so inconvenient for customers. Don’t frequent a business that forces you to wait in line for the privilege of paying them. Reward the businesses that still respect your time, and will book you a table in advance.

I took my wife to The Keg for her birthday along with our two toddlers. As any patent knows, going out for a special family occasion with toddlers can be a challenge at times. :) Fortunately, The Keg made it a comfortable, enjoyable experience for us. Our server asked me what he could do to make it a great experience. My recommendations were executed perfectly. Great timing, accommodation of special requests for prep of our meals, even the ice cream for the kids arrived right on cue and just as requested. Of course, we enjoyed the same great Keg quality and atmosphere we always look forward to.

Keg is one of those restaurants that i always have a good meal. This location was no exception; from service to food, everything was great. I ordered prime rib medium rare and my husband ordered teriyaki steak medium and both ours was cooked to perfect temp. After we settled the bill and it got out that it was my husband’s bday dinner, the server told us that might have gotten the dessert on the house. I am not sure if that is their thing but it wouldn’t hurt to check if it is a special occasion such as a birthday. The ambience is perfect for a date night. The light is dim but bright enough to see each other’s faces.

Just had dinner here for the second time. I find it mediocre. Prime rib was not hot enough and just didn’t seem fresh. Friend had the teriayki steak and said it was okay. Husband had a filet and veggies and said his was«okay». No raves from any of us. Service was adequate but not attentive. The bus girls were annoying –two walking together going in circles around the room trying to look busy while they chattered away to one another. Dessert was good. In general over priced for the quality. This wouldn’t be first on my list again for a nice dinner out.

A tale of two steaks. Ok it should have said a tale of a steak and a chicken breast but this is a cautionary tale for the owners of this particular keg restaurant. I ate there with a group of friends recently. I’ve eaten there about a half dozen time over the last few years and this was the first time that I was seriously concerned. We were seated in a large high backed booth that the cleaners have seriously neglected. Cobwebs by the light in the corner of the booth and caked dust on the high back of the upholstry, gross. Anyway, to the food, I ordered the chicken and ribs because I had eaten a fabulous steak the previous night at Joey’s on Burrard. I must have been feeling sorry for my colon or something so I didn’t order a steak, In retrospect a fatty rack of ribs and a whole chicken breast wasn’t going to do my digestive system any good either but there you go. The entrée came and it was typical Keg, three pieces of steamed broccoli with my chicken and ribs. The chicken looked like it had hit the floor or something as there was no sheen of sauce or juice it just looked dry. Not surprisingly after a couple of bites I needed water to wash it down. Drier than a popcorn fart. I alerted the server to the fact that my chicken was dry and he said he’d have another one for me in 12 minutes, I didnt time him because I wasn’t that hungry and there was good conversation happening but I’m certain in was more like 20 – 25 minutes later when he arrived. He puts down, a HALF of a chicken breast. I looked at him and I’m like«ok, so I have a couple of bites of bad chicken, so you decide to only replace half the chicken?» He said it was a kitchen mistake and took it off my bill. Overall a fairly poor experience.

OMG! Why couldn’t we find this on our first night in from California? Our dinners have been ad-hoc due to our tournament game schedule, but glad we had a chance to finally go here(been passing it all week on our way to and from the fields). We both ordered the 8oz sirloin dinner with baked potatoes. Medium rare. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the baked potatoes fluffy and delicious. Neither one of us was left with that bomb-in-the-gut feeling that sometimes follows a steak dinner. Perfect amount of food on the plate. Our server Jason could not have been more accomodating. He was adorable and wonderful. He was attentitive without being intrusive. The best part of it all? Affordable! Yeah — in your face affordable! After a few mediocre breakfasts at Rickeys that set us back close to $ 50 each time; a lower than sub-par lunch a few days earlier at Church’s that set us back nearly $ 25; and a less than stellar small pizza w/salad for yet another $ 30, our $ 58 dinner(including tip) at Keg was mind-blowingly cheap. The best quality meal we’ve had all week and one of the cheapest for the value, quality and experience. Okay — it’s not five star unfortunately because the food is very underseasoned — the salt and pepper shakers got a hefty workout.(I’m also guessing steak sauce must be an American only thing). All in all, we liked the feel of the place. Bustling, yet enough distance between tables that you can have a private experience.(I’d compare it to a mid-upper steakhouse in Northern Califofrnia.) If only we’d found it earlier, we probably would have made it a primary place to eat. Dang.

We went here on a Friday night for an extended family dinner of a party of twelve. This isn’t a place where you want to go for supper with family. They play the music too loud for conversation amongst a large group. The food was adequate. I ordered the filet mignon. That was pretty yummy.

Since moving out here we’ve been going to this location. Great service and food. Always busy and packed to the doors which is probably because it’s the only one out here! But seriously, we enjoy ourselves every time. We’ve gone for appies & pitchers of beer and still had a great time without any steaks! But did miss the steak when I got home! You won’t be disappointed.

I live in Bellingham, its over the border from this Keg & I came here with friends because the Keg in b’ham closed, so we made a trip specifically to go here for dinner. Knowing that. its not a stretch to think I am a big fan of the food they put out, so were the friends I took with me, they live in Calif. and every year when they come to visit we made a point of going to the Keg in B’ham. This Keg however was a great disappointment, the server we had was annoying as could be mixed with clueless and just a touch of bitch. The food was just ok at best, and trust me we ordered UP we had a lot of food to judge it by… lol…, between the 4 of us our check was $ 200.00(and none of us drink) so yes, we went for it! I could elaborate but whats the point, the food was not even close to as good as the Keg in Bellingham served, and the server was awful its going to be a cold day in hell before I make a trip again, sad too, since I really loved going to the Keg here.

Newer Keg location, great service, pleasant ambience. Steak is of course delicious! Highly recommend the spinach salad. The only negative is most meals don’t come with a vegetable, only the«Classic» dinners. Tip: The Caesar salad in the Classic dinners can be substituted with any other specialty salad on their menu which makes this a favourite of mine!
