I’ve been coming here since 2010 and even through the changes, it’s still one of my favourite Sushi places. It’s nice that it’s just down the street as well.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Ordered $ 30.00 worth of food which was the tiniest orders possible, you could barely feed one person. The chicken karage had about 5 or more chicken hairs on each chicken wing which indicates the lack of preperation they put in their food — completely disgusting and was thrown right in the trash, the ebi sunumono was watered down, the chicken teriyaki looked like the bottle of the barrel chicken with those frozen packaged carrots and peas you get at the supermarket, boiled and tossed on the top as a garnish and to boot they forgot our dynamite roll after I told them 3 times and had them check it over. I was so excited to try it out only to be completely let down, will not be ever trying again.

This is our #2 favorite Sushi place in all of Lower Mainland. We’re still deciding for #1. Anyway, they have friendly service and good portions. They offer free miso soup when almost no one else does anymore nowadays. My daughter, who has a penchant for Chicken Teriyaki says that theirs is really good. Sunomono comes with carrots in enticing shapes — rooster, crab and maple leaf! That alone deserves an extra star! LOL!

The restaurant is good for a quick bite when you are desperate and hungry but if you are looking for quality sushi this is not the place. First of all, when we walked in the whole place smelled like bleach or whatever cleaner they were using. One of the rolls we got was premade sitting in the fridge, it came about 20 seconds after our order and the rice was cold. The chicken wings we ordered tasted too oily and seemed like it was refried — it came too quick and the center wasn’t hot. I guess some good points were the free miso soup, average unagi roll, and the salmon tempura was pretty cool although it had a high batter to meat ratio. Overall, the service was good but the quality is for those that are just hungry and do not care about how well the food is made.

We stopped by here as another restaurant we were trying to go to was closed. All the table seating were occupied when we arrived so we ended up at the bar section. I was able to watch the sushi chef work. Food arrived quickly and tea was refilled promptly without asking. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty. My only dislike is the chopped scallop roll. The chopped scallops were too pink in colour for my liking. This restaurant is open 7 days a week. Good sushi option in the area.

This is my go to place for cheap takeout sushi in Surrey! The staff is super friendly and nice, the portions are generous, the pricing is good and the food is tasty! The crazy roll is always good, but everything there is good so try them all! :)

Half the sashimi we were served was literally still frozen. The staff kept their stack of dirty dishes in a cart right next to our table. Overall a dirty restaurant with poor service and poor quality sushi. Plenty of better options nearby.

Not sure why this place is getting such high reviews? I went there once with a girlfriend and ordered two rolls, one being dynamite rolls and another spicy tuna. I actually didn’t eat my rolls as the prawns in the dynamite roll seemed to taste a bit fishy and the tuna tasted like a cheaper quality fish from the frozen section of TNT market. I’m super picky with my sushi so I did not enjoy this place. But the prices were cheap.

I’ve been going to this place for 8 years! I love this place, it’s cheap but the sushi so good! It’s a little different from other sushi places. I also love how the place looks, very cozy! Definitely will recommend this place.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and they never fail to deliver great food and amazing sushi. You pay a good price for big portions. And very fresh fish, with great sauce to compliment it. Even when you call for pick up they still treat your food as if you were dining inside their restaurant. The friendliness of the staff is amazing. They welcome you right when you enter in the door and treat you like family. If you are a regular they make it a thing to remember what you like and recommend new things for you to try. The speed is great. You never have to wait too long to receive your food, even when you call in for pick up. If you are a big sushi fan you have to done here. And bring your friends and family too! They have enough seating for a table of 8 :). Nagoya sushi, the best sushi in Surrey.

I have been coming here for over 3 years and the food at this place has always been delicious every time! The owner is always very friendly and will start small talk with regulars. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a calming atmosphere. Even thought it’s a cheap place to eat at, everything tastes fresh and they don’t skimp out on the ingredients. This place is great if you’re looking for big portions for cheap.

We were looking for an all you can eat place but couldn’t find a sushi place where we would be guaranteed to not get sick or bad service. Instead, we opted to try Nagoya Sushi because the Unilocal reviews were favorable to the food, service, and price. My, oh my, did they deliver! What a wonderful dining experience! The place is tiny(4 booths and a couple tables) but they are kid friendly(we had a 1 year old making lots of noise and no one blinked an eye). The food was delicious! An extensive menu with lots of choices, lots of different combination ideas, and the portions are downright American! The servers were friendly, helpful, and asked us several times if we needed anything/was everything okay?, etc. We will come back here everytime we are in town, that’s for sure!

I want to give 3.5. But some detracting items. Start with them. Restaurant needs a good cleaning and removal of kitchen items in dining area. Fine for a lunch time meal. Not dinner with a date. Tea has a made in a coffee urn taste to it. Very dark décor. Not very welcoming. Now to some good stuff. Variety in rolls. Some inventive special rolls. But too much sugary sauces. Hard to taste ingredients.(My liking though). Ingredients seem fresh. But have been a couple of times when sushi rice is still warm, detracts from roll. They feature Black Rice. Rather than brown. No issues with that. Like the option. Salad and Agadashi options. Plentiful and fresh. Presentation is considered and more than most sushi restaurants. For options in Surrey. This is a good lunch location. Fast service. Quiet enough to get your order in and back to work.

I’ve been ordering from Nagoya for a few years and aside from one disappointing experience(sunomono being all water broth, no vinegar/sugar to it at all) it has always been really good quality for the price and location. Standouts are the crazy SAC roll, the green dragon roll, the red dragon roll, the Alaska roll, and negitoro roll. We usually get tuna/salmon sashimi and/or sunomono, tempura, agedashi tofu, gomae. The lady owner is so very nice and service is good.

Yummy food. Unique and different rolls, the staff are crazy nice. Had a long day and came right before closing. They stayed late to serve my friend and I. Prices aren’t bad, which makes it one of my usual joints for sushi in Surrey.

Went in after the lunch rush, expected it to be empty but it was pretty busy when my mom and I went in. Small space, but it makes up for in super friendly and speedy service. The prices are decent, too! We ordered the Dynamite Combo and tuna + salmon sashimi, so good! The portion sizes of the sashimi were much bigger than what I was used to and it was really fresh. The Dynamite roll kind of fell apart really easily but I didn’t really care. The servers even came by to ask how everything was going — kind of rare for Asian restaurants, so that was a pleasant surprise. Their menu is mainly sushi, rolls, nagiri, and some lunch/dinner box specials so this is the place to go if you want great sushi and awesome service. Definitely taking my friends here.

What a cool little spot! Found this place via Unilocal.Super close to home, good food and decent price. Service is quick, but not super personable and very limited seating. They serve black rice… Not sure what it is tbh, but I liked it! :D tried the crazy roll(deep fried Cali roll with spicy sauce). Miso soup was very tasty.
