What a hidden gem in Whiterock, the service is fabulous and the sushi tremendous. They served a few side dishes on the house, including the yummy yam fries to get us started, very enjoyable experience

Pretty good place with reasonable prices. Not a big place so I wouldn’t take a group here and there were 2 waitresses being run off their feet.

This USED to be our standard sushi restaurant at home, until a disturbing incident about 1 year ago. Overall, I would consider the sushi quality slightly below average for Vancouver, but for the South Surrey /White Rock area where it is located it is probably average, and it is certainly closest to my house which is how it became our default place to go. However, the last time we ordered for pickup, when we got the food home we discovered that there was an extra container with three California rolls in it, and we were missing some of our items. We called the restaurant, and rather than apologizing or offering to bring us over the missing items all they cared about was had we eaten or touched any of the extra California rolls? While somewhat confused by their concern, when we told them that no, we had not touched them, they were very relieved and asked us to BRINGTHEMBACK! and they would give us our missing items. We were absolutely blown away — so they obviously intended to resell this sushi that would be at least 45 minutes old and had been taken home and opened up by another customer — all to save them what $ 2.00 for their ingredients??? And on top of that, they expected us to drive back there to deliver them this reused food in order to get the food we had actually ordered, with no offer of a discount(or maybe free seeing as we are driving back there to deliver this food you plan to resell to your unsuspecting customers…)? Should have called the health department on them, but have left it at not ever setting foot in there again, and sharing our story with our friends(and now Unilocal) to avoid others frequenting this dodgy spot.

Little sushi joint off King George hwy and 32nd avenue where Rona is located. Small and clean place with about 8 tables. There was a big table and small tables that can be placed together so it looks like they can accommodate a group. I ordered ebi sunomono, spicy salmon roll and salmon sashimi. The sunomono came with a big shrimp and little shrimps. It also had few slices of strawberry. I never had that before in a sunomono so it was unique. They use wild salmon in their sashimi and rolls which I really like. They also give out free miso soup for all the dine in customers. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back here for future sushi needs. P. S. they also do 10% discount on take out orders.
