While I don’t doubt the talent, Michaud’s must have THE most inflexible, disgruntled management everrrrrrrr.
Having never been to Surrey, I was advised by a receptionist on how to reach Michaud’s by public transit. When *almost* there (from downtown Vancouver), I called with a courtesy heads-​up that I was going to be a few minutes late and was passed to «one of the owners» who abruptly informed me that «time is both of our worse enemy» and that I would have to reschedule my appointment. Period. I couldn’t believe it! I was appalled!
Really unfortunate, actually, as I had been a client of one of their newest hairdressers (who had recently transfered) and I was hoping to continue seeing her despite the distance. But, apparently, my business is not worth being more understanding, accommodating, and gracious…
I will return to Aveda/​Tonic.

This place was a nice surprise! It is a beautiful big salon with several salon related services, they also offer some Chinese medicine treatments as part of their wellness Centre concept.
The people at reception were friendly on both occasions that I have been there. A good sign of a well run place!
I saw Todd (for colour) he ‘fixed’ my botched hair like a skilled champ. I originally sought him out because he does Aveda colour but he suggested we consider a new Redken products that is gently formulated. It was a good choice, I am a happy customer. I’ll be going back for a cut later this spring :)
