Went here back in December for the dim sum with my wife and five children. The food was exceptional, a little more pricey then other dim sum restaurants, but the price was well worth it. 4 stars instead of 5 as we had to wait for water, and the service was a little slow.

I really don’t wanna give review for this restaurant coz i am so worried that after i did… more and more people will rush to this place for food and I ended up lining up for food… This place is so far the best Chinese food in surrey area. As a chinese, i give it 5 star. And my super picky Korean hubby gives it a five star too ! You have no idea how happy I am, I finally find a place where it fits both of me and my hubby’s tummy! I get a coupon online for seafood course. It will course me more then 1000 words to talk about all the food so i will pick some as the highlights. Lobster: O. M. G it is like WOW. I got it with my coupon but i think the regular prize was only around 28bucks? It is a 4people portion and it is FREAKInG taste. Way better then the 60bucks lobster i had in «poor Italian» @ Vancouver. I was sucking the sause out of the shell from the lobster whole night. I I dont remember what the sauce called in English but it comes with XO sause, Garlic, green onion and chilli. Kung pao Chicken: very tasty. Mildly spicy and sweet. Chicken is fresh and juicy! My friends LOVED the dish. And you honestly dont taste any MSG ! Sweet and Sour pork chop: i feel sorry for the chef coz this dish come the last and we are too full to finish it, we end up bring everything home. The pork was crispy when service. And the sause are not too sour or sweet. It can have at least 2 bowls of rice with it if i could. Recommend for sweet and sour pork lovers. Service: Can’t complaint! They have chinese, Canadian, Indian servers that help satisfy the needs of multiple language. And the owner of the place speak perfect English. They manager lady keep checking on us and she is very sweet. We leave more then 20% tips and they worth it. Environment: SUPERCLEAN !!! Complaints: i said no, but my hubby is upset coz they have got the alcohol license, so no beer for him. LOL. We are going back for dimsum next week !!!

Finally! A restaurant deserving of the location. We’ve seen this location house several different restaurants over the last 12 yrs and I really hope this one stays a long time. Big portions, delicious food. Ordered dinner for 3(2 adults, 2 young kids) and we had so much leftovers. The service was fantastic and friendly. I recommend the seafood hot and sour soup(best I’ve had since I was a kid) The food is top notch! Absolutely delicious and fresh. The mango pudding is even homemade which you don’t see very often at all. We are definitely coming back!

Had the lunch special with a friend the other day, and was quite impressed. Was expecting a little bit cheaper and more greasy, considering the previous restaurants in this location… but it was $ 12.95 for a really good amount of food and variety, including a drink. The staff seems well organized and knowledgeable, and didn’t mind our questions about the menu items that we didn’t understand. 3 different menus were a bit confusing, but stick with the lunch special and you’ll be fine. Tried the s&s pork and beef n broccoli and both were cooked perfectly and looked like an advertisement photo when delivered to the table. The steamed portion was a bit more authentic-style(we enjoyed the mix), and was served in the steam tray — again, generous portions. The spring roll wasn’t amazing(they’re honestly hard to get just right), but it was only a sideline, and I could have skipped it and still been full. Definitely worth a try! Maybe this business will last a little while — they’re in a graveyard of failed attempts, but they’re doing some things right that others appear to have missed. The crowd was a good mix of nationalities and ages… We’ll done Kung Fu. I’ll be back

Came back on a Saturday night for my mother in-laws birthday, the restaurant was very busy but we had a reservation. The menu has a large variety of seafood dishes which is great since the in-laws can’t eat meat that is not halal. We were all very impressed with the mixed seafood chow mein, the noodles were perfectly crispy and the sauce coated the noodles without making them soggy. The xo sauce seafood fried rice was another favorite, and i really like the fact that there is a seafood hot and sour soup on the menu since most restaurants have bbq pork in the hot and sour soup so we usually can’t order it. The service was pretty good although two of the waiters seemed newer and maybe less experienced(our tea got lost twice) but they were both very nice and super apologetic, overall everything was good and I will be back again since the quality of food is consistently good.

My parents and I went there tonight for the first time. When we got there, there was only about 4 other tables… We ordered the dinner for 3 special. The 2 appetizers came out first fairly quickly, followed by another dish about 10 min later. After those 3 dishes, we waited an hour to get the rest of the food and had to mention something to the a manager. There was a table that was seated 10 min after us, and they got 3 dishes before we got our mains. It took an hour and a half to get all our food. Everything was super salty. The servers messed up the orders(ordered the wrong thing, and brought wrong items to multiple tables). There were only 4 servers working during a saturday night prime dinner rush. One server just kept saying«we’re busy». We could hear other people complaining about missing food and delays as well. Coming from someone who has served in multiple restaurants, I was shocked at the customer service. Won’t spend my time waiting eating here again.

We discovered this place the second day it was open. We had a chance to have a good chat with the Executive chef/Owner and then got to have some of his Mom’s best recipes. We had the $ 30 Meal for Two, inhaled as much as we could, and then took the rest home for an equally full and fresh dinner the next day. The food is classic Western style, fresh, flavourful, not greasy, unique(Mom taught her boy well), delicious, and ultimately satisfying. The staff are friendly and attentive, and we love to tease young«Mr. Shy», the busboy. A place like this is much needed along Scott Road. Let’s patronize it people! You won’t regret it.

I don’t normally write reviews for restaurants especially dim sum restaurants. However, this place has really amazed me with their quality food and outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in this area who wants to experience authentic Chinese food. I have been to many many dim sum places and there are no restaurants that offer service like this one. They treat everyone like a king, that’s how good their service is. Definitely 5 stars

Their Dim Sum was great! Very tasty! The chef even came and check on us to make sure we are satisfied and he even gave us egg tarts on the house to try. One of the best egg tarts I ever had! But the service was not so great. But they just opened and the server was new. I would come back here for dim sum and will be trying their dinner menu soon.

Seriously the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! The dishes are authentic and fresh, never disappointing. The waitress, Kasha, is super friendly and attentive. The owner comes round and checks in too, being an executive chef turned restauranteur, he knows his stuff.

This place opened up on Scott Road recently and is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Traditional Western-Chinese restaurants suffer from a number of flaws — too much MSG, stale flavors from too much pre-prep, too greasy, and so on. In my two experiences at Kung Fu Chef, I’ve found that everything tasted fresh, with a unique take on some traditional dishes. The prawn spring rolls are a big highlight, as are the Peking pork chops, which come with a sweet onion sour sauce that’s unlike anything I’ve had at any other Chinese restaurants. The typical western Chinese staples — Chow mein, honey garlic pork, wonton soup, green beans in black bean sauce, are all amazing and if you’re a fan you will love their take on these dishes. The owner, a former executive chef, has really put together a great restaurant here. He compliments it friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and encourage you to try new dishes. The Surrey/Scott Road area suffers from a severe lack of high quality Chinese food, and this is indeed a light amongst them all. I hope to be going there for years to come.
