Jysk Linen ‘n Furniture

I had a terrible experience at this location today. My wife, and I drove from Abbotsford, a 40-​miunte drive, to pick-​up a bed frame we had ordered from the website. First off coming to the online pick-​up desk, a girl came over to help us, and said she was not quite sure how to process the pick-​up. She then called over another employee, I believe by the name of Mathew, who was rather rude to her, and then was rather unpleasant with us. As the confirmation email stated, my wife brought Government ID matching the name on the shipping information, only to be informed that as the address on her identification was out of date they would not allow us to pick it up. Despite having the credit card it was purchased with, and several other forms of identification, they still would not give us the bed frame. So, we left without the bed frame, and chose not to purchase some other items we had picked out. Need less to say this has certainly soured our opinion of JYSK, and we will be requesting a return for the bed frame tomorrow.

Terrible customer service. I placed an order for a side table on May 6^th and still have not received it. I paid for their overpriced shipping. Countless attempts to resolve with customer service reps who constantly give me the runaround with new delivery dates. and still nothing? This product is for business and I had intended to purchase and additional 19 tables if this one suited our space. If I had known how awful and SLOW the customer service would be, I would have never purchased this in the first place. Will not be ordering from JYSK again.

A friend of mine told me that Jysk was just like Ikea, just closer to home…
So I go in, expecting to leave with several random items, but I didn’t…
Second time around, just recently, I decided to give Jysk another try… Again, nothing!
There is nothing at Jysk that even remotely stands out to me, nothing that I need, and no remarkable price that makes me want to say «What a steal!»
Sorry Jysk, you just didn’t do it for me!

Oh the joy of shopping for home stuff at JYSK.
Don’t buy furniture here though, it is low market Ikea knock offs…
HOWEVER… you cannot find better selections for sheets, window coverings, bathroom stuff, cool décor items and baskets.
This store is on the corner of compulsive shop and implus grabs streets for me. MOther save me from their table linens aisle!
Do you know how hard it is to find flannel duvet covers for kids twin beds? JYSK has them all the time! I wait for them to go on sale, and grab the object of my desire for $ 14.99 (pillow case included).
Today for the first time I ordered from their on line store. Not as visceral an experience, but for sure I am still getting the blinds I need.
This is a destination big box store out in the middle of godforsaken nowhere on Fraser HWY next to a big Rona.
Come and get feather things… they make you happy.
