Opened on 1st June 2015 in Surrey, British Columbia, GJ’s Kitchen is an Indian restaurant by Executive Chef Gurjyote Singh Sethi, who has an extensive and vast experience in food.
Taking over the legacy from his grandmother in cooking of various cuisines, he has built a name in the ever emerging hospitality industry. Belonging to a hard core Punjabi family, where food is given the preference of a Maharaja [king], the innovative dishes created in GJ’s kitchen carries the flavor of seven seas from India.

Food made in GJ’s kitchen is a blend of his incomparable love and passion towards each and every ingredient of fresh Indian spices which makes it more delicious for the food lovers who enjoy the authentic taste of Indian recipes.
The motive behind opening this restaurant is to let people sense the aroma of the divine Indian food.
Here, GJ-the Chef, himself takes extraordinary care of his executive customers to provide utmost satisfaction.

Business Owner
Gurjyote started his culinary journey started in 1999 and has since gained appreciation through his hard work and dedication.
Gurjyote has an extensive experience of over 15 years in the hospitality Industry and has been associated with leading hotels like the Hyatt Regency New Delhi, Marriott Welcome Hotel, Fusion (Multi cuisine food Joint) Self Owned, Crowne Plaza Gurgaon by (IHG), and Aman Resorts New Delhi, The Claridges Surajkund (Now Vivanta by Taj Surajkund).
Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, Gurjyote has spent all the precious time learning and developing culinary skills under the guidelines of international culinary experts. Gurjyote is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts from IHM Pusa, New Delhi, India (2002).
He was also awarded with the — Manager of the Quarter (2011) and Manager of the year (2012) at The Claridges Surajkund.
He has travelled around the world on his own to explore his passion in culinary skills.
