Unexpected and lots of fun! Im rarely(never) in this part of town, but I was invited to my friends bachelorette party. We had reservations at «Homestretch» which is the viewing portion for the races /race betting /restaurant. When we entered the place we passed the casino which didn’t look too big. Homestretch was cool, Ive always loved horses. Its been awhile since Ive been to the horse race track, not since in my hometown Winnipeg. It was Saturday so it was busy. On our way to the table we passed a buffet. I didn’t really look because we had dinner reservation later on at a different place, but people seem to be enjoying it. When we were seated in our table we had a great view of the races. I really didn’t know how to bet but most of the workers there were willing to help us girls out, and the also had a 1 $ booklet that tells you how to play and all the info about the jockeys(we called it betting on horse racing for dummies). We ordered some drinks, made some bets some of the girls got lucky some didn’t(me) but it was fun. The bride to be was mentioned on their daily paper, over the PA system and the screens on each table which was nice, also mentioned other celebrations and occasions. We were also invited to the«Winner» circle for photos which I would have loved to see but we had reservation for dinner elsewhere and we didn’t want to be late. No change for getting in or any of the other extras just our drinks and betting. It was a great experience and great service.
