AWFUL… Ordered pizza at 536… Called at 7:15 and were told they made our pizza wrong the first time and then forgot to put the order back in. Last time we ordered there was hair in our food– definitely will not order from here ever again

Our go to breakfast restaurant. The morning potatoes are freshly shredded in house and lightly pan fried, not those heavy, greasy deep fried ones that most places serve. I’m very particular about my eggs and they have never let me down. The food is always piping hot. Excellent breakfast special until 11 weekdays and 2 on the weekends. A little hard to find, but it’s across the street and a couple of blocks west of the casino east of Campbell road.

Really great! It was Michelle F’s pictures and review that made me bookmark this restaurant. And I’m so glad I remembered that when my mom and I were in St. Albert with my nephews and brother this afternoon. We were there at 1 pm on Saturday afternoon, and the place was unfortunately fairly empty(except for 2 or 3 other tables). I think they’re just too far from downtown to take advantage of the Farmer’s Market crowd. However, our server was extremely friendly and attentive. She had light bruises on each side of her jaw, making me think that she recently had her wisdom teeth out, or maybe some other kind of dental work/surgery… but you’d never know it. She was on top of drink refills and made great recommendations. 3 of us had the donair poutine. I had originally ordered just the regular poutine, but I asked her if she thought I’d regret not getting the donair version. So on her suggestion, I changed my order to the donair poutine with no veggies. My youngest nephew got the kids flap jacks(menu described it as 4 mini pancakes, but his plate had 4 on it). And my mother had the senior’s fish and chips. You’d never know that it came from the seniors menu… it had two pieces of fish, lots of fries, and really delicious coleslaw. I should mention that my mom does not usually eat the slaw on her plate… but she really enjoyed it and ate most of it! The 3 of us were all very satisfied with our poutine. Even though I had mine without the veggies, I observed that those who did have it, had crispy lettuce and fresh tomatoes. All of our orders were correct. And everyone really enjoyed it. We all had leftovers. The value can’t be beat and I will definitely be back(even though I live in Summerside!!)

Campbells has grown on me. Last year I came here pleasantly surprised about the quality of homemade comfort food. Campbells has it. And I frequent this place regularly now. Its basically the same price as going to mcdonalds except for healthier home cooked like foods. Perfect for when you are too lazy to cook. Service is good. Quick fast and friendly. The waitress who was just plain awful quit working here for some time now. The new staff is efficient and great. Overall service is great now. I find I can come in and order and eat in less than an hour. Portion sizes here are huge. Make no mistake… its perfect for sharing or for a humungous appetite. I prefer to order from the seniors menu bc they are half portions. They have allowed this bc my son doesnt like the kid meals and would prefer a larger meal. And I just can never finish even half of the regular sized meals. The sauces are homemade and made in house. Ive tried all the pastas and they are very good. Personally I like the fettucine alfredo. Its rich and creamy. All the pastas come baked with a large amount of cheese. For $ 8 its wayyyyyy better than bps or any francise out there. The pizza is crisp and hearty. Lots of toppings. Tons of cheese. I like the way they cut it too. In squares that way those non crust eaters dont have to waste! My favourite dishes are the plain ol comfort dishes of canada. The veal, liver and onions or the fish and chips. All are served with your choice of side. Ive had friends eat here and order regular portions that came out stuffed. These are people who are never satisfied and are literally bottomless pits. So take a bite of your friends dish… bc im sure they wont be able to finish it anyways. I must recommend the poutine. Crispy fries slathered in tons of gravy and cheese curds. Literally till your last bite. The nachos are a massive platter of endless nachos that take up the entire table. Its good for four people on its own! All in all. Campbells serves up quick homestyle cooking without the fuss. No long waits. Fast service. Friendly servers. Great comfort food. Ive eaten with 4 or 5 people and its super easy on the wallet. Just $ 50 sometimes. Ill literally say its my treat when I go here bc the prices are so great for the food you get. People are always shocked at how good of a deal it is. I find the crowd who visits here are mostly seniors and people from the casino across the street. Its a small family run business. That I am proud to frequent bc im never disappointed in the food or the price. It stands out to me through all the places to dine in st albert. No complaints… my parents love it so much here after I brought them here. That they frequent it once a week. Ps check out their daily specials on the board. Some of it is surprisingly awesome. Eating for less than $ 15 a person everytime with leftovers is a a great deal I will come for over and over!

«Yay! I’m a fan» for brunch on the weekend. In the month of March, I came in for brunch three times on the weekends — separate occasions. And I thoroughly enjoyed it, a complete 180 from my first visit here for dinner. Their brunch menu offer half a dozen varietions on each of … pancakes, omelets, eggs, bacon, sausages, steaks with hash brown and toast etc.(see their website for exactness) This establishment does not have the chandeliers, candle lit centerpiece etc — it’s just a simple, comfortable community diner. If you show up on the weekend to find that there’s only a couple tables available for seating — you’ll see why the«regulars» keep coming back week after week. It’s reasonably priced, convenient for the Castledown/Oxford and St Albert communities, ample amount of parking, good hearty food, and can comfortably fit a group gathering(6 to 12 people). Portion wise — I always have a bit to take away in a doggy bag to snack on in the afternoon! Menu says breakfast is served until 10AM, but on the weekends it’s till later — not sure when exactly.

It was a Saturday morning and we wanted breakfast. My friend suggested that we go to Campbell’s in St. Albert because she had a 50% Groupon. The restaurant is not easy to spot because most of the buildings are the same colour and there’s no big signs that points to this restaurant. Boring atmosphere and unusual one of a kind clientelle. It’s a small family owned restaurant with only one waitress on the floor, so there was quite a wait for service. It was a standard breakfast menu that you can find at any diner. We both had the egg benedict with hollandaise sauce. I had a fruit cup as a side. I was plesantly surprised by how good it tasted. It definately cost less than Coras! I don’t mind coming back again if I happen to be in the area, but I’m really impatient and would really like the waitress to come around more often!

This trick with this place is that it’s great for pick up or delivery, but not that great for a sit down meal. It’s essentially a hole in the wall cafeteria with great pizza. It’s a great alternative to the usual Panago or whatnot. They seem to have good combo deals, but I have never tried anything else apart from their pizza.
