Its a good tour, but overpriced. The two hour excursion from Southhampton on a little boat to Cantry Island explores the history of the lighthouse and the island itself. Run by really nice retirees with lots of knowledge, its $ 30 a person, but I cannot justify why this was so expensive. Once off the boat, you get to go up the 105 stairs to the top of the lighthouse. The view isn’t anything spectacular. Below is also the keepers house. In a restored state back to how it looked in the 1900s, nothing in there is orginal and either replicas or something of the time. It was interesting to be reminded of how times used to be. The island is also home to a bird sanctuary. The nest there and also killed off many trees with their poop. We were not allowed to disturb them. Then we hopped back on the boat to the other side. It wasn’t much, and wish the cost was lower so I could recommend it to others.
